A friend brought up aninteresting question the other day, and I thought that I'd share it wwith you guys. If you had to choose a disability, would you rather be deaf, blind, or mute? Why? I would rather be mute because I could still communicate through writing and other than that the effect that it would have on my life would be minimal.

I would rather be mute, then I would become the ultimate thief that gives the stuff he steals back to the victim.

I would rather be mute, because I can still communicate, just not orally, I could still type or write, plus, I definitely wouldn't want to be deaf because music is a HUGE part of my life. If I were blind, I wouldn't be able to.....nevermind.....

I'd rather be mute.

I'd still be able to every, just not talk. Not being able to see or hear causes an uncountable number more problems.

I would rather be mute because I would still understand what color and sound was.

Blind is the coolest, but for reasons stated in the thread so many times: Mute.

I would rather be mute because i could still communicate with people. I wouldn't want to be blind because i wouldn't be able to see what people are doing and I'd hate to be deaf because i wouldn't be able to hear what people are saying about, or to, me.

i would be mute becuase that would take away the least from my everyday life and it would be much easier to get to sleep and not make a fool of my self around people

for sure would rather be mute... i love music for one thing, and i think being blind would be the worst i have friends that are all of these and it would be hard to have any of the three choices

Mute definitely, however I may as well mention this:

A singer came to my high school, he was blind and learned music by hearing. He told us all a story of how he rode his bike over the mountain road, a feat not many people could do with sight. He does pretty well for himself being blind, and I am sure after a while he got used to it, and would prefer blindness over being a mute. It really is amazing what you can do if you set your mind to it.

I'd rather be Mute. I say that because communication with mute people is still exist able. You could even write to say what you have to say.

huh. I realized this was a Necro thread when I saw Ubertuna was the OP.

it seems to have enough of a following, though, so I guess Zophia doesn't have to kill this zombie.

but I would rather be deaf. you can still communicate, just can't listen to music.

Honestly, I'd rather be a mute than any of the other things. There are other ways to communicate with people. Being blind would be very tricky just because sight is one of the most necessary senses to survive the day. I would want to hear because I can't imagine not hearing ANYTHING. That could make things very difficult. Being a mute wouldn't be so hard, especially for me, since I mostly communicate online. Phonecalls could get tricky, though...
