I used to play video games for 4 or 6 hours non stop when i was like 12. My parents used to say i was addicted but i was thinkin in my own mind that i wasnt...What do you think about people that play video games long period of times?
Now i have sold my xbox and kinda grew out of games, magically i guess, i dont even think about games anymore, infact im more attached to the forum than the games here.
i used to play games nonstop. and i would keep playing them for hours. then everyday at like say... noon i would just get this weird feeling that i was wasting my life and have to go outside or i would feel bad. its weird. now i only play xbox when my friends are at my house or something like that
When I got my 360 in November, I was on it nonstop for about 2 months. Then my friend let me borrow Halo 3, and it killed it. The game, sucks. Period. I really dont see the point, and that coupled with a 1:30 hour timer really helped on my semi-addiction. And looking back at half the game addictions I have had, I just grew out of them. Runescape for example. Now I get on and its like... now what. I didnt get 99 skills or anything, its simply that Its below my and my age. Oh well...
They are addictive because you make it that way. You have the choice to play or not play them. I play them when i have time. So, I play video games maybe 3 hours a week. Some people are uber scary with this addiction. When WOW came out, my friend didn't leave his room or sleep for 6 days, he drank over 70 24 ounce bottles of mountain dew. Well, some people it isn't, others yes.
yeah im addicted right now on a game called combat arms it was made by nexon the same ppl who made maple story DO NOT PLAY COMBAT ARMS U WILL GET HOOKED RIGHT NOW IM WANTING TO PLAY!!!!!!!!
There were a pair of 40 year old long-haired men playing Runescape at the public library the other day...that was a wake up call..
Now that I think about it, is it age, or maturity that comes into play with these "addictions"? I'm a pretty everlasting gamer myself. Instead of from 3-11 PM I'm only playing 3 hours a day. Gaming is really only something I do when I'm bored, or feeling bored. If I can't find something to do "BAM" there's an activity in front of you to both entertain you and to kill time. No, it wasn't constructive BUTT. when have those constructive events helped you in the future, hmm?
My parents used to say i was addicted but i was thinkin in my own mind that i wasnt...
I am conscious that I am addicted, but I am also aware of the fact that I enjoy video games, so although I'll admit that I am addicted and it's probably bad for my health I don't stop because I think I should get enjoyment from video games - after all, that's what they're made to offer. I think addiction to games only becomes a problem when you do not find the game fun.
What do you think about people that play video games long period of times?
Most people who play a lot of video games are quite intelligent and sophisticated, so they're normally my friends, bahahha.
