Does anyone else here actually enjoy math? Most people I know find it boring and pointless. I don't mean you have to get super excited at the prospect of doing 100 homework problems, I'm talking about finding the various mathematical concepts interesting. Or getting a nice sense of accomplishment when you figure out tricky problem. For me, math is the only subject that I try in, even when I don't really need to. This thread is about math in general, becuae I realize that most people on here aren't going to have the same backround. BTW, I am in AP Calc AB (that's the first year of advanced calculus for those who use a different system).
I actually enjoy math. This semester I was the smartest in my math class- and no, I am not asian Floyd- and I am really taking to my architecture course because of it. Whether you like math or you don't it still dominates our world, so the more math you know the better.
I finished Algebra I first semester with a 62.45, once you get to highschool learning math gets REALLY old
Algebra II and pre calc were practically the exact same class. Pre-calc was essentially a waste of a year; we just reviewed trig. We never even did integrals or derivitives. But AP Calc so far is mostly new stuff, and pretty "fun." Maybe you just gave up on math too soon. Personally, I don't see myself ever not taking a math class, even after college.
Anyways, science revolves around math.
That doesn't mean you have to like math in order to like science. You can appreciate the basic ideas put forth by science without knowing the math behind them.
