There is no evidence that shows that homosexuality is simply "genetic." And none of the research claims there is.
That site is complete bs. All "cures" thus far have only resulted not the removal but the suppression of the feelings. Which can be unhealthy to the individual.
For those of you saying it's a choice then please answer my question. When did you choose your sexuality?
the gay community had better hope no one ever figures out what causes it because once they do some people will try to exploit it. if you find that its a gene then people will try to screen for it. if you find that its a choice or a result of upbringing then people will say its a social defect and try to medicate it or treat it otherwise.
another way to think about it is to change it from being gay to something else. for instance: some guys like boobs, some guys like butts, some guys like both. what causes that? a gene? upbringing? who cares?
I wouldn't call it a fetish, its just an "orientation". You wouldn't call bisexuality a fetish would you? I know a few gay people and they were not born gay, they just turned out to be.
Just to make things clear, we aren't debating if being GAY is ok, it is about if being GAY is genetically related is not, no room for disapproval or support ok
Just with anything, I suppose it can be a fetish. But with the way it is described and exhibited in society it is clear that for the most part it is something not, and instead of going into the definition of a fetish it would more likely fit into something people call sexuality.
personally i don't care if you are gay or not and i don't hate gays but i think that saying you were born gay is basically just trying to make yourself feel better like saying "Don't worry it's not your fault, you were just born that way and there is nothing you can do about it." and give them a pat in the back. but i think that being gay is a major choice to make, but i think ppl are gay because they had some bad experience with there mom or something and then decided that all girls are that way so they chose boys instead. i'm not saying that thats the reason for all of people being gay but i think that is a common reason. i don't harbor ANY ill feelings toward gays. this is my opinion.
