Last night it wouldn't let me make a new thread, so now here it is...

Here is a lovely little statistic about how both stack up with spending. Obama will surpass every dime that was spent by the Bush adminsitration in 20 months and 11 days of his presidency. No matter who he increases taxes on our FEDERAL debt is projected to increase by 1.35 T in 2011 alone. The current federal debt is aroud 5 T. Go figure.

Considering the vast majority of the debt was caused by Bush, and the fact Obama had to spend his way out of a financial crisis, I'm not really sure what the point you're trying to make is.

well seeing only the amount of money spent is one thing, what is more important is on what the money has been spent.
and obama had to pay a lot to companies in order to prevent damage because of the financial crisis. whereas bushs spending went directly into wars.

Even though his post was credible?

Regardless of how much someone tries to help the national debt, it's either going to increase or decrease incrementally. We increase taxes to increase the flow of dollars to help pay the debt, but it slows the economy process down, because people have less money to spend. Vice versa if we lower taxes. There is no way to lower the debt tremendously without severely hurting the common masses. Well, whatever Clinton did was a relief to them. But no, Bush went in reverse. We can't help that; we gotta make Obama go back forwards.

Shall we be reminded on how he gave AIG some billions of dollars, only for them to blow it, and then he gave them more?
And they did it again!
You think he would have learned the first time.

Man we need to stop blaming and stop spending. There always has been debt. We recently just paid off the war of 1812.

Oh I see. Paying American debt is more important than Haitian life? Typical Neo-Con attitude.

Go donate a hundred thousand dollars to Haitian relief and I won't consider you a hypocritical idiot.

One step forward, a hundred steps back.

Yep, awesome way to repay a debt.

Honestly, I don't care about who caused what debt, just get us the fuznut out of it.

But that's not happening. Ever. At least in any of our lifetimes. Ten trillion dollars doesn't magically appear.

The US has only not been in debt once in its 200+ year lifetime.

Yes frankly haiti is a SLUM we need to help our selves before we can help others "America has been donating MILLIONS to Haiti every yearâ¦Yet the money never seems to bring about any improvementsâ¦Haiti is a festering canker sore on the planet and no amount of aid, assistance or money ever seems to change that factâ¦" you can only help some one so much before you DISABLE them

During the years 2004-2008 the United States gave Haiti $800 million dollars in aid WOW.. and yet its still...a hmm..let me think of the correct word for this...hmm..oh i know its still A SLUM .... throwing money at a issue is not the answer
