I could really have made a thread about "Lost" because I'm going to miss perhaps the greatest TV series, premium channels don't count, ever. Because this is Lost's last season I started watching V thinking I was going to hate it and now I'm hooked.
It's like the age old battle of "homies vs the invaders". This show reminds me of "War of the Worlds"/Tom Cruise,6/29/05. And, like Lost, is filmed more like a movie than a weekly series.

It reminds me of "V", the television show that came out in 1983. It was about a bunch of lizardy aliens dressed up as humans who invaded earth. At first, these "vistitors" appeared to be purely beneficial to humankind.
But when some weird shenanigins start occuring on earth, an inquisitive TV anchorman tries to find out whats really going on with the Visitors.
Also there is a vistor resistance group called the "fifth column"
Yes, Chitown, it's of if people want to post either V or Lost, especially since Lost only has a couple of months before the grand finale. I wanted to get caught up the other day but since I was also on the computer, my husband trumped me. That's cool, I can go to ABC.com, like I said before.
Yes Aknerd, I remember some of the older version but this V rocks, it's got the Tom Cruise,"War 'o the Worlds", movie feel with really good special effects.
I'm also hooked on the "blackout" show, can't put my finger on the name but feel free to post comments about that one too.
Call me nostalgic but for the first time watching a tv series, I got attached to the cast of Lost, so when I saw that Elizabeth Mitchell was on V I thought I'd give the first three episodes a try to see if I liked it. I was hooked before the first commercial.
Then there's Dominic, who played "Charlie" on Lost, I can't spell his last name and I'm to lazy right now to look it up but I will know both the actor's last name, his character's name and the title of the series the next time I post.
Has anyone else seen Evangaline Lilly's new Loreal commercial, she played "Kate" on Lost? It's good.
Hey iamnotironman, what did you think of Richard's back story last week? I thought at first he had really flipped when he said,"we're all dead and this is hell". It started to make more sense when he dug up the cross necklace of his wife's. I'm glad they didn't drag out the segue and went ahead and let Hurley tell Richard that, "if you (he) don't (doesn't) stop the Man in Black then they'll all go to hell!"
My main problem with this V is that the visitors are too obviously bad. I would be more interested if they were more ambiguous, like Ben in lost.
Speaking of lost: I really liked the first two seasons (when it was more about survival). This latest season seems to based more on suspense that actual plot. It is still pretty good though. I'll definity miss it when it is over.

The other series I'm hooked on is "Flash Forward", Dominic Monaghan plays Simon Campos. Sonya Walger plays Olivia Benford on "Flash Forward" and used to play "Penny, Desmond Hume's wife and daughter to the evil, Charles Whidmore.

About Lost, I thought Ben as (Henry) was a jerk at the table, eating cereal, after Roussou had captured him and before Sayid interrogated him. It took me a while to like Sawyer, I guess that actor's pretty good. I stopped watching during the third season because I was too confused. But once I started getting caught back up online I thought it was the best season. I really liked "Mr. Echo" and I thought his character was the best.
Isn't it funny though, I like Locke better dead and being the Man in Black and the smoke monster. I not thoroughly convinced that Locke isn't really Locke since everyone else has doubles...?
Don't give up on V. I think it's ok if we know they're bad because it still leaves a lot of room for the degree of badness. Tom Cruise knew pretty quickly how bad those aliens were but it still took him time to figure out how to stop them. On Star Trek, TNG, we knew the Borg were bad but it was still intense to watch Captain Piquard escape them. I think the same logic applys here.

Really? I liked Locke the best when he was the random hardcore bald guy with a suitcase full of knives. Echo was pretty cool too. And Desmond needs to come back somehow.

I just watched last night's episode of Lost. Please, don't give the plot away 'til aknerd watches and responds.
I just had a crazy thought. If the real Locke still exists that would make three, counting the deceased body? This is the one thing that bothers me me about the whole Man in Black-Smoke monster-Locke thing; why, since everyone knows he's the smoke monster, does the man in black still need Locke's body?
It's obvious that the smoke monster is using the 'time traveling' Locke body. Is he hoping to use this as a new identity when he escapes?

Are you thinking that there is a "ghost" locke, like there was a "ghost" claire's dad? I'm pretty sure the ghosts are just the smoke monster.

Preacher guy got an injection, the stupid son got his mind read, anna did some plotting, a merc guy joined the 5th column. Reporter guy has possible health problem. I'm predicting Anna's daughter is either already part of the fith column or will join it later.
OOO, 'Mother's' bad. "My eggs need nourishment", chump, I mean chomp! I would think by now they would have to drug the poor guys before being 'selected'. 'Stupid' son's acting a bit brainwashed, and talking real s-l-o-w. Yea, and merc is short for mercenary???? The 5th column had better step up recruitment before Anna's eggs hatch! In the meantime, I hope the Priest can find some sort of antidote soon or the church will be raided or worse. Is the older priest a V or just crazy, brainwashed and senile? I noticed his s-p-e-e-c-h started s-l-o-w-i-n-g down, too.
I have never seen the show, so I can't really say. All I know is, is that the show looked like a really bad show on the commercials and that kind of turned me off.
