I could really have made a thread about "Lost" because I'm going to miss perhaps the greatest TV series, premium channels don't count, ever. Because this is Lost's last season I started watching V thinking I was going to hate it and now I'm hooked.
It's like the age old battle of "homies vs the invaders". This show reminds me of "War of the Worlds"/Tom Cruise,6/29/05. And, like Lost, is filmed more like a movie than a weekly series.
Ask your parents what they think of first if you're younger than 13. I say this because of some of the adult themes and semi-nudity. If you get scared easily this show may be too much for you, at times.
To my knowledge there's no coarse language which is why I like it.
I'm an adult but I get turned off quickly to off-color, coarse and obscene language.
V's moving a little faster than I thought it would. Little 'Anna' showing up at 'stupid' kid's father's house was creepy. I wonder what the father meant by, "We need to tell him the truth about him."? One of the 5th Column sacrificing himself was timely. Anna's test for human-5th-Column invaders is really creepy, with her ESP backup fail safe plan.
Are the two men on Anna's ship really 5th Column? I know they sent out the "call to arms" message and I know previously the Doc has had hesitation with Anna's exterminations, but he just plain gives me the creeps.
Lost was also creepy! Now that Desmond's survived the Electro-Magnetic Blast chamber test, he's acting strange like's he's in a trance. I understood why he was goofy before when Locke blew up the 'hatch' because he was just starting to see the future. I was right about seeing Charlie again, I'm referring to a quiz that ABC.com/Lost placed on the site, pre-season. He was sure acting creepy! Why is everyone asking Dez, "Have you ever been in love? Do you know what it looks like? Charlie asked it, Eloise hinted at it nd Dan mentioned it too? Why was Charlie really running in the hospital just to turn from Desmond and head for the elevator? He tells Dez the whole story of the drama on the plane, chocking on his heorin and then, telling Dez, "You shouldn't be worrying about me, you need to find Penny?"
What was the little flash of Hurley at the airport telling Dez where to find the bag-pick up important? Was it so Dez would get there in time to help Claire with her bag? It's always creepy to see Eloise and Dan. I'll be glad when they get back to answering questions instead of creating more.
Anna's test for human-5th-Column invaders is really creepy,
It was clever as well, somewhat renews my faith in the show. I like a clever villian...

It's because the next episode will probably be a Hurley episode, seeing as they haven't had one yet. Either this one or the next. They just don't want us to forget about him.
Also they are FINALLY relating the sideways world to the "real" world. Seems like the sideways 815 "survivors" might be reuniting pretty soon.
I'm kind of dissapointed that Lost hasn't done any character delevopement for the new people. I think enough of the old characters have died to justify bringing in some new main characters. I want to see a detailed flash sideways for Ilana, Jacob's bodygaurd.

Ok, you pick Hurley and I pick Ilana for next week's bio-episode?

Yes, that was one of the things Dan said that's made any sense when he mentioned 'already dropping the bomb.' It also seemed that Desmond recognized Eloise?

Is it going to be important? Do you really want to learn who Ms.Zooey is? I really don't feel connected to any of Whidmore's goon squad. As for Ilana, they've been giving us peeks and she tolerates Ben for some reason. I agree with Whoopie Goldburg, "Why isn't Ben dead yet?

Lol
Personally I find the storyline pretty weak all around it tries to get you emotionally attached to the characters but I swear they have the emotions of a brick. I liked the old series more than this one.

No sweat. I've finally gotten caught back up on 24. Do you watch that or lost?
I pick Hurley for next bio episode. In modern day desmore found daniel who dot shot by his mother who he also met.Ben isnt dead yet because they are beginning to trust him.

And there asking Dez so he can get with Penny and move on the story.Charlie was running because he thinks he is supposed to die.
Because he's just so charming? But seriously. the show would be lame without him.
Ha,ha,ha...Ben's as charming as an Eastern Diamondback Rattler!
Nu-uh!, he's the one who's LOST, now, and I guess I'm supposed to see the humor? No, seriously, the actor is great that's played Ben, 'cause I do feel tense when ever he's on the screen.
I was wondering the same thing. Maybe he is adopted or a V, but probably not.
You might be right with him being adopted. The talent scouts for the show did a good job with matching the kid and the father in the looks department though. The Mom clearly didn't want to leave him and she's got to know that with that stupid jacket-camera and the 'tagging-shot', Anna's tracking his every move but wait...I don't think the Mom knows this yet?

Exactly, I think that's why he seemed to recognize her, just in a dream kind of way, he seems to have learned a lot from Daniel and not just about Penny. I think you're right about rushing the romance part of the story along, time is running out...Will Jin and Sun finally get back together???? I swear they really seem to be a couple in real life. If I had to pick my favorite Lost couple it would be a tie with couple one= Jack and Kate and one1/2= Jin and Sun. Everyone else seems tragically doomed.
And there asking Dez so he can get with Penny and move on the story.Charlie was running because he thinks he is supposed to die.
You know, I get the impression that Charlie was trying to show Desmond that it's impossible for Charlie to die, remember the desperate way Michael used to act when he tried but failed to commit suicide?
As soon as Aknerd comments I'll start talking about Lost, but has anyone seen V?
We know more about stupid kid and his creepy V girlfriend. Stupid kid has a stupid father, go figure. Stupid father is real father but stupid father believes doctors instead of wife/FBI agent. Now stupid kid blames her for everything! I guess he'll be back on the ship?
We learned and met the step-son of John May, step-son's undercover, dead V girlfriend, how they kept track of him, about John May's death, he didn't commit suicide.
Georgie died w/out giving up any names. I think the step-son of John May will replace Georgie?
I'm ready to talk about: V, Lost, where you think these two shows are going? If you're not into those two then comment on 24 or Flash Forward and I'll respond as soon as get caught back up.
I just want to keep the momentum going as the end draws near for Lost and 24.
It's because the next episode will probably be a Hurley episode,
Called it.
and...
I'm predicting Anna's daughter is either already part of the fith column or will join it later.
Called it! (well, I'm assuming here).
I was a little dissapointed in both shows last week(s). Lost was just explaining things in an excruciatingly obvious way. For instance:
"So, you are just trapped here because of what you did?" "Yeah"
Lost used to be way more subtle, which made it interesting. They never just came right out and said something. Or if they did, it was a lie (The Island is hell, etc).
V was just boring. The main plot point of the last show was Anna's daughter's "feelings", which I figured out would happen about 4 episodes ago. The Fifth Coloumn is way to unorganized. Currently, they are too weak to even hope for a victory. Of course, that will all change, probably two or three episodes from now.
And I'm sure "blue energy" is not completely safe.
