All the Global Warming threads make me proud that my home is heated with a renewable resource. Wood. We chop down trees on our fields, and burn fagots night and day. We stay warm and toasty with no electricity wasted for it. Take that fossil fuel. And all the stuff like paper and plastic and other recyclables get recycled in said flame. Again energy that would have been wasted on making new products out of old saved. Isn't my family efficient???

I have a solution. How about we kill every human on earth. That way there won't be any more pollution!

Actually our bodies would give off green house gases, and if we all died at once it could potentially give off quite a bit of pollution.

All of which would eventually dissipate with our demise

i like this idea when should we start? lol

Also we are currently trying to get power from nuclear fusion the greenest energy source we know of

As I have said before, I find all this "green" stuff to be quite pointless. We can mimic the "natural" processes and even improve upon them with machines, creating artificial glucose, carbon to oxygen converters, and any other processes that are found useful in plants. I personally think we should set our sights more to robotics then to creating "green" things that usually aren't.

Wood may be renewable, however, it takes a long time to renew. That also goes for fossil fuels. They renew themselves, just really slowly.

see if they renew them selves than why bother changing energy sources

We are thinking of changing energy resources because they(renewable) take millions of years to be formed. Like coal, petrol etc. are not made in a day.

Exactly

but we still have them to use and its much more expensive to create all the machines for renewable resources than it is to just keep using the old systems.

Actually, burning that wood is releasing CO2 into the atmosphere.

The city I live in has air-pollution problems, we've had a day or two in Winter were we cannot leave our houses due to it being life-threatening.

Wood is renewable, but it's a contributing factor to Global Warming.

Actually our bodies would give off green house gases, and if we all died at once it could potentially give off quite a bit of pollution.

So do cows when they fart. It's a leading contributor to Global Warming. And decomposing is slow, though yes, we'd release 'something' into the air.

Even if hypotheticly there is no global warming you can't deny that A. Fossil Fuels will run out within the century B. Air pollution is a very real problem

First our "old system" while running with the theory that global warming does not exist does cause many other problems including air pollution, depleating ozone layer, acid rain, and many others.

but we still have them to use and its much more expensive to create all the machines for renewable resources than it is to just keep using the old systems.

In the long run(not realy that long actualy) as stated above those fuels will run out. We will have to make these machines eventualy and it is better to develope the tech now than wait untill we have drilled the last drop of oil and dug the last shovel of coal.

Acutally i can deny both. First off you can never estimate how much oil and coal there is left when you dont even know how much there is. Second Air pollution isnt a problem becuase think about it the power plants arent near where i live and dont effect me beside giving me power. Then theres acid rain which doesnt matter again because so what if our building corrode faster there only meant to be there for 30 to 40 years. And if oil is renewable which it is and so is coal then we will never run out. I do however say we should go use nuclear power because they make ALOT more energy with less material.
