I know that a lot (maybe even most) of the users here on Armor Games are American based, but I still would like to talk about the upcoming Formula 1 Championship this year!
Who is likely to become champion 2010 with the drivers?; Which team will be champion 2010?; Which rookie team will be doing great in 2010?; What driver will not fullfill the promiss to do great?; What's the best/most beautiful Grand Prix for this year's calendar of F1?; What Grand Prix would you visit if possible?; Etc...
So if there's anyone on Armor interested in this cool, fast and challenging sport... speak up!! =D
LOL Yes... this is looking to become a great race today! =D
Hulkenberg did a great job in maximizing his outcome and set a good lap for the pole in a rainy day of qualifying! Massa has dissapointed there a bit if you ask me...
There's even talk of Alonso being able to grab the title today, but that would mean he has to finish 3rd and the rest of his adversaries have to retire during the race... not going to see that happening soon, but then again, you never know! =D
Like it's said: "The b*llsh** stops, when the flag drops!" :P
And the race is over. For some reason, Red Bull did not have Webber win the race and instead let Vettel win. That means that in the final round, Webber must finish at least 2nd to make up a 14 point gap. Alonso really just needs to get points. however, the constructers championship was clinched by Red Bull. Good job to them, but I think Alonso has the championship in the bag.
Webber simply wasn't fast enough I guess, but he did a great job in consolidating on points! You state that Alonso has the championship in the bag, but it ain't over till it's over... A lot can happen in the next GP! What if Alonso crashes in the race? Or he qualifies poorly and can't restore positions during the race?
Hulkenberg did a great job in trying to defend his pole, but it was a matter of time before the rest of the field put him back in the place he is suited with that car, still good job done! I thought it was an exciting race, but not a thriller to watch other than the championship standings being scrambled sometimes with pit stops...
Lets hope they manage to make it a thriller in Abu Dabi! =D
I'll post the championshiop standings later today, I have some things to attend to right now...
Excitement is already mounting ahead of Sunday's title decider. Luckily Ferrari go there in the lead. I think though that the team who will work best will win the championship.
Well, qualifying is over. Vettel got the pole for Red Bull, but teammate Webber qualified 5th, behind Alonso and both McLarens. Just makes it more difficult for Webber to win the championship. Webber must finish at least third get enough points to win the championship, but that still depends on where Alonso finishes
This is the scenarios that Webber could win in. If Webber wins, he wins the championship if Alonso finishes no better than 5th If Webber is second, he wins if Alonso finishes no better than 8th If Webber is third, he wins if Alonso finishes no better than 10th If Webber finishes anywhere else, Alonso wins
I think it will take a lot of luck for Webber to win the championship based on that.
We are definitely going to have an exciting race tomorrow!
I saw Fernando Alonso and he was all smiles at the end of the qualifiers. He has a pretty healthy lead, so he is the favorite for the title. However Hamilton, Vettel and Webber are going to do their bests, hence we may witness a really big surprise.
By an amazing stroke of luck, Sebastian Vettel is the 2010 formula 1 world champion! He won the race, while Alonso and Webber were stuck behind Vitaly Petrov almost the entire race. The Red Bulls cap off an amazing season with both the drivers and constructers championship. Congratulations Vettel!
I would also like to point out that Robert Kubica may get a penalty for crossing the white line exiting pit lane. This would move Alonso up a spot in the finishing order but would not alter the point standings.
What a climax to this thrilling 2010 Formula 1 season!!!!! 0_o
Sebastian Vettel did everything he had to do! Win the Abu Dhabi GP and gain the maximum amount of points! And with this maximum effort he has become the well deserved Formula 1 Drivers Champion! Excellent job!!! Great to hear how emotional he was over the radio... =)
Mark Webber had the disadvantage from the get-go and simply couldn't tipp the scale to balance his way... it's still a good effort given, but I think it might have been the last chance he ever had to become a drivers champion in Formula 1... shame... :S
Lewis Hamilton was the underdog in this final fight and allthough he did a perfect job finishing second, he simply had to big a gap to close... Next year he'll have a new chance!
Fernando Alonso has dissapointed me with one single action that has finally made me dislike this person alltogether... even though he performed a great battle throughout the whole race with Vitali Petrov, he didn't deserve to become champion! After the finish of the race he drove alongside of Petrov and made a sign towards him that is simply NOT worthy of a Formula 1 Champion... if you should wonder what it was, this is the particular sign I'm referring to... the Dutch reporter 'Olav Mol' says it clear and simple: "Yes Alonso, here you show off your WORST character trade...". If I had a Formula 1 car of Alonso, it would now be for sale on Ebay... I'm done with this guy...
Anyway... enough about him, he's not worth it anymore...
Let's concentrate on the winner of both the race and the drivers championship! HURRAY FOR VETTEL!!! WELL DONE AND WELL DESERVED!!! =D
Those things happen every now and then, but I'm always glad when they manage to crash a formula 1 car completely to smithereens and still step out of it as if they had just parked it at the grocery store! =D
I'm just glad it was confined to severe car damage for both drivers, nothing more...
