Money bad because it turns people like George Washington into people like Adolf Hitler. Or Barrack Obama. -Off topic- by the way, America now has a N--er for president! Hurray!
Again, they could, but not many people would actually want to carry various things around, just to see if someone wants to trade it for something else. The thing about having a currency is that everyone wants it, and everyone is willing to spend it on other things they want. Plus, it's usually very easy to carry, even in large quantities, so people wouldn't have to haul around big batches of food to trade.
yea I know I was just saying. i.e. still pissed off at the craptastic question/ lack of understanding of finance in general in this forum.
Money is neutral for it is how it is used, week people get corrupted by it, and good and bad people use it, money is just another word for currency which can be anything worth a steady value and small and abundant.
Why does everyone blame the tool? If you shoot somone, you are the murderer not the gun. If you plow the earth, you are the farmer not the plow. If you get corrupted by money, you are corrupted not the money.
Money is bad. 100%. Trade would be 10x better than money.
With Trade, you can trade a sheep for a bunch of wood. With money, you trade like 100 dollars for a bunch of wood. You can't make a fake sheep. You can't bribe people with sheep. Sheep don't cause inflation. Monitary systems cause corruption, bribery, inflation, and then after all that, when war comes, money aint worth s**t.
Imagine you have trade. You own a farm, and you have a bunch of sheep. When war comes, you can hide your sheep and trade them for other stuff to people. If you have a monitary system, you hide your dollars, and suddenly all of the treasury gets owned by the enemy. Now, your doller is worth .1 cents. That sheep woulda been worth a lot more than that piece of paper, which is now best used as firewood.
