the rules are easy. i will ask a question about ANYTHING pokemon. i'll start off easy, with bonus questions which will be a little harder, and go up very slightly in difficulty each time. absolutely NO cheating. this is ALL pokemon trivia. that includes the series, any games, and any movies. now i am not an "obsessive" rank fan, so some questions i won't ask...but i tune in every saturday at 6:00 AM central to catch the new episode... sometimes i miss it, though...anyway, first post containing the right answer gets the point. kind of pokemon ping-pong style, first to get 5 points wins a match, and first person to win 3 matches wins a game. once every page(excluding the first page), i will put a list of each player and how many points, matches and games they have won, a &quotlace" note and general acheivements in this format:

New player(s)! name(s): player 4
player 1: 2 point(s), 1 match(s), 0 game(s)3rd
player 2: 4 point(s), 2 match(s), 0 game(s)2nd
player 3: 3 point(s), 1 match(s), 1 game(s)1st
player 4: 0 point(s), 0 match(s), 0 game(s)4th
most games ever (pretty self-explanatory): player 3
best pokemon fan(the person in first place): player 3
worst pokemon fan(the person in last place): player 4
most bonuses (the most bonus questions) player 2
most un-officials(questions not asked by me): player 1

as you can obviously notice, after a match is won points are set to 0, as demonstrated by player's 1 and 2, and after a game is won both matches and points are set to 0, as demonstrated by player 3. if a player does not post here for 3 days, i will remove them from the next scoreboard, excluding the "most games" achievement. the new player notice will be removed on the next scoreboard. the "worst pokemon fan" achievement does not apply to "new" players. people are free to ask other trivia questions separate from my question, but answering it will not yield any points. however answering the most of these will give you an achievement. last thing: if you have any questions about the game, DON'T post it here. post a comment on my profile and ask away! only 5 questions per comment, as i'm sure i covered a lot in this one post. i will respond by same way; posting a comment on your profile. i will ignore comments with: more than 5 questions, asking the answer to a question, and asking if they can post a question. asking that, or asking more than 5 questions, would mean you DIDN'T read the entire first post, so remember to read the first post on every thread before posting. I'll start

how many pokemon are there originally?

BONUS: what is the final pokemon? (hint: team rocket tried to steal it once while it was in egg form)

yes. kanto region. there ARE 151, but mew is the 150th. it's togepi thats 151st(according to my version of the kanto pokemon guide). but i WAS originally going to go with mew, but that would be kind of obvious as the only hint i could think of was "only an eyebrow was ever found of this pokemon" and that would be a dead giveaway, right? every regular is worth 1 point, and ever bonus = 2 points, and after every right question until the 3rd page i'll post a scoreboard, so here it is:

New player(s)! name(s): destroyre101
destroyre101: 1 point(s), 0 match(s), 0 game(s)1st
most games ever: destroyre101, 0
best pokemon fan: destroyre101, 1
worst pokemon fan: destroyre101, 1
most bonuses: destroyre101, 0
most un-officials: destroyre101, 0

I want to know where you're drawing your info from, since it seems somewhat flawed.

The first (original) generation of pokemon consisted of 150 species (individual evolutionary stages also counted as species), with Mewtwo being listed as the 150th. Mew was sort of an easter egg at first. Sort of.

Togepi isn't any kind of final pokemon, it's a 2nd generation little normal type, although fairly known because of the whole egg deal (how they carried it around for so long in the anime and how the player receives a Togepi egg in the games to be introduced to eggs in general).

And please don't bump the thread without a reason. Like PanzerTank said, you didn't post a new question, so there's not much for others to post about.

I have this strange urge to be annoying now, thanks to that flaw (I actually have that guide)
Technically the legendary birds are located in the Orange Islands, which is a region for themselves. Mewtwo is not officially a species, as it, by being the only one of its kind, is a legendary that only scientists have seen. Those scientists that made it. Basically it is just a manipulated version of mew.
And while we are at mew. Mew is something near the first pokemon ever created, and the root to both human and pokemon existence.
But sure, we can be boring about it.
As Zophia said, 150. Just listen to the pokerap.
Mew technically belongs with the second generation, so does togepi.
\\o/
Btw, that guide is super flawed, just so you know.

Mew technically belongs with the second generation
But it was in the first gen games~ And is counted to the Kanto dex.

Mewtwo is not officially a species, as it, by being the only one of its kind, is a legendary that only scientists have seen.
And this is why the National Dex listings make no sense when used outside of the game. @_@

Mew is something near the first pokemon ever created
According to Bulbapedia it's even the first pokemon ever trademarked. That's kinda cool.

Pokemon info isn't 100% consistent, so @wrpen99: Please mention which source you're going by for the next question, it makes it a little more logical to figure out.

POKERAP SAYS OTHERWISE D: Yeah, I know. But depending on the list, it can be found in either. And we could argue whether it should be a legendary too, since it seems to be very, very rare, but yet there are more than one of them (as per movies, of course)

Baby Lugia. 'S all I'm saying to that.

Of all the sources you could reference... XD

Baby Lugia and its mom. TinyArticuno that guy had. And soon we will see if there are more than one Celebi too. The cartoon isn't very consistent, but on the other hand, neither are the games (I ttly found and caught all the legendaries and then I go fight ma friend on the wifi, and he got all the legendaries too O
But since Mew was actually seen as extinct... I wonder how a rib fossil/fossil mew would be in gpx+... Anyway, since mew was seen as extinct, it has kinda gotten the same status as the blue fish here in .. reality, which was a fish that was thought extinct back in the age of the dinosaurs, but hey! they're still there, and plenty of them too.
Mews are just waiting to take over the world. In their hidden, lonely hideouts.

Of all the sources you could reference... XD

I remember back when I could remember it > >....
Is Weird Al's polkamon better, then? " And there's at least a hundred and twenty-seven more... Including.."

oh forgot the bonus: he steals your [blank] and professor oak gives you a disobedient [blank] in Pokemon yellow. also, i don't care whether it's in the show or the games unless otherwise said (like with the bonus here).

If I remember the anime correctly, he had a Blastoise at some point... So I'd guess Squirtle. But my memory often fail.

No reason to apologize, was just wondering since it went against the "generally considered official" info I've been able to get hold of. Am kind of curious about that guide, though.

Baw, ninja'd.
Dunno exactly how it goes down in Yellow, though I do know the player ends up with a Pikachu as its starter.
