I think that the Ag lacks members compared to other global sites i know because many believe that they need to be game makers in order to join or that if you are not a game maker, you will be banned, disallowed in the threads and stuff. Although the whole site is trying to prove the opposite i think that some space from the ads could be cut and this message be entered. It could also be in the game pages which are the most visited. I myself had a little of this problem and i know many people who have it too and i think that it should be negated with more "eye-hitting" means.

I feel you think that, and not other users. I see quite a lot of users joining who are not game makers, and I don't see users being banned for not making games. Give me examples of what you stated, I'd like to hear it.

The only reason I can think of you being banned is for breaking the rules, not for not making games. And your friends must have done the same.

Look at how many users AG has. Then, look at how many games AG has. Now, look how many game designers have designed more than one game. Subtract that number from the amount of users here and, according to you, that's everyone who shouldn't be banned.

I saw people's comments, so I knew that everyone could join

Many other people, in fact, a majority of the AG population thinks, and knows, that AG is just a flash gaming site, and that being a member is not to discuss how to make games, but how to play them and beat them.

Yeah... but majority of them just socialize. And a lot of people make accounts just to rate games and to comment on games. And then there is AP freaks. xD

I think half a million users in a little over 2 years is pretty fantastic to me. Actually, this entire site is built on providing free flash games to all who want to play them, even those that aren't members!

I don't know where you got the idea where people think that they can't join if they aren't developers. If so, they would have required you send a game from the get-go. Armorgames isn't such a site where they just leave the spots open for free and then delete it because they were too lazy to implement requirements. Also, if AG required access to caches only if you were a member, then that means that no one, not even guests would be able to access it. How in the world would we be able to advertise our site if people knew that they couldn't join anyways? That and the number of people we have currently.

It's all in your head :P

If you've been paying much attention, there's been a pretty big increase in users. I wonder why so many are joining?

Sorry Doombreed but I have to agree with unlimitedpower, sounds like you and your "other" friends were breaking the rules and got banned.

yes, it is. this is something we usually discuss in profile comments, not support threads.

Other sites don't really differ from AG when it comes to membership. Free. So why would someone think that only game devs are allowed? Not to be harsh, but only ignorant fools who don't check the forums, would assume that. Look at all of us. Ha, if you believe in that, why aren't you banned yet?

The ads here are perfectly fine. Other sites have ads. Some have ads worse than this site's ads. And why would we need a disclaimer when other sites don't need them?

Listening to what ulimitedpower said, that would be the only reason why your friends were banned. In other people's eyes, AG may be over controlling and uptight, but this site is well maintained and kept under control. And those people who disrupt the order too much, are banned.

Of course i know that you don't have to be a flash game maker. Even firetail has never made any game but not everyone who wants to join looks at users profiles. That's my point. Maybe it needs to be even more bright. And i know that there are about 400,000 members but like i said, most people don't look at already users profile.

And sorry for double post but it is not in my head. And i didn't got banned. What Do you say? I just stated it is the belief of the people. Not that it is true. Hey. And i cannot state a person because they are not members. If you become a member then you will find out the opposite, Floyd. Maybe it happens to not so many people but i know some and i think that even slightly, the new users will increase (whoa this has attracted a lot of negative attention).
