So, I know this has been tried before but I'm going to attempt to start a thread for the purpose of the explanation of Christianity.
All questions are welcomed but it'd be really cool if only one or two were asked at a time until the previous questions are resolved.
The questions can pertain to Christians as a whole or my own personal faith and beliefs. Also if the questions could remain focused on Christianity and not just become flame it would be great.
Please avoid needless debate as there are plenty of forums on this subject for debate.
Just a feeling triggered for various reasons including a location you have been to but forgot, settings that look similar to another location, and various psychological disorders.
Intuition
Just guess work with a strong feeling that your right possibly for subconscious reasons.
The Taos Hum
In this case I'm not sure if we know exactly what is causing that particular hum but we do know in other cases this hum can be cause by various geological activity. For instance there is a hum on a particular island caused by volcanic activity under the earth.
Since everything can be explained please explain the following things: Deja Vu, Intuition, and The Taos Hum.
I didn't say I can explain everything, but I think science can.
A good explanation for deja vu is that it is an anomaly of memory, giving the impression that an experience is "being recalled".
What do you want explained about intuition?
I didn't know the Taos Hum, but after googling it there seem to be more phenomena (sp?) like that. And there were simple explenations for them. So why should the Taos Hum be any different?
How can it be in your memory if it never happened?
I'm not a neurologist, but I can try to explain it as I understand it. Normally an image is visualised (sp?) first, so you become aware of it, then it is 'saved' in your brain. But when a deja vu occurs, a fault in the brain occurs. The image is saved first, and then visualised. So it is allready in your brain, before you become aware of what you are seeing.
Some individuals hear it and others don't. Explain this.
Not everyone can hear the same tones. The average one can hear is from 20Hz to 20kHz. But this differs quite per person.
I can't edit my previous post, but here are some sounds you can listen to: Sounds I could hear 16.7 kHz clearly, I could just hear 17.7, but above that it was silent for me.
It did happen. It happens right at the moment you see the image. When you see something you visualise it first and then it's 'saved'. But when deja vu occurs, it happens the other way around. So you see it, but because you're brain made a mistake you think you've seen it before because it's allready stored in your brain.
Then wouldn't they hear it in a different tone?
Nope, you wouldn't hear it at all. Just listen to the sounds on the site I posted as an example.
I may have thought pehonemenon meant something else then it does, but what I mean is that it happens in the brain (that's neurological right?) and as I am not a expert on that area I may not be able to explain everything myself.
Neurology is the study of nerves. A neurological disorder is disorder of the bodies nervous system. You may have heard that neurology deals with the brain, thus the nerves in the brain.

Interesting site I was able to hear up to 19.9kHz.
