"A group of Chinese and Turkish evangelical Christians claim to have uncovered remnants of Noah's Ark on its legendary mountain resting place in Turkey."
yielee, have you looked at a few of the other Noah's Ark threads?
Well, I think it's not a moot point. If Noah's Ark exists, then it helps you believe that the Bible isn't a book about fables. It doesn't even matter if Noah's Ark was just a small boat that held a goat to cross a moat. The whole point is that it existed and someone wrote about it existing.
Of course, it could just be another Noah's Ark hoax, like the last one, cause this new Ark was carbon-dated to 4,800 years old, which just sounds too good to be true, if your Christian.

You said it yourself "if". This if has no valid evidence to make it lean toward true. That is what makes it moot. The article, nor the explorers are showing any evidence of it being real.
And why is it so important that the fables in the bible be true? Isn't the meaning of each story the point?
In the picture the ark is too small.(sorry for my bad english im from sweden)
You did a pretty good job there.

No it doesn't. fiction writers often use elements of reality in there works. So while I can believe there was a real boat and person the story is based on that doesn't validate the Biblical story as being true.

And the point is what here? God got pissed and committed global genocide.
I'm actually having my doubts about their's being real. This is because in the second picture they got straw thrown in for effect. If you really found Noah's Ark, than you wouldn't need to toss straw into it for believability purposes.
Does anyone realize that the ark would have decomposed by now, and it would have to be the size of... big. I mean huge if they wished for two of every animal to enter and have enough room to eat and such, as well as multiple, and I mean a ton, of entrance ways to be able to get everything in on time, as well as some rain proofing to stop the rain witch would be blinding, and some form of SONAR to defend against mountain peaks witch would easily sink it, as well as something to destroy the water once they were done, and some form of moment do to the fact the wind would be high and the waves would need to be avoided. That form of moment must be extremely powerful to move the huge boat, probably an engine, witch was not invented, as they lacked human to row the boat. Along with the thousands of issues with the flood itself not existing...
