I don't like the vast majority of the rap songs, cause I don't find them very "musical".
I think that rock is quite better.

I guess I like rock better because it's just more soulful. The rappers these days just want money and sex, there's no PASSION in the music. Rap is only good for pregame these days.

but i do prefer to ply my drums to hip hop beats because alot of the time they are harder then the stuff my band plays.

Everyone here thats hateing on rap for the exact same reason, listen to artists like immortal technique, jedi mind tricks, and dead prez. each and everyone of their songs actually have a meaning, and sound different then mainstream BS.

The reason I don't like rap. 75% of the songs seem to be about how pimp the rapper is. The other 25% is sex and money. Rap to me is people with attitudes rapping about how bad they are. I'm for rock. It actually has meaning

breaking benjiman was a bad example. i said like 85%. listen to like modern day alternative, oh and then antoher 5% is that gay ass rebel rock like riot by three days grace, then dont get me started on this new rock thats slowly turning into country.

the point is most music has there flaws and its all usually the same thing which is why its catagorized how it is. so id say we give better reasons for why we dont like a certain genre cause there all pretty stupid

I love Rock especially the classics like AC/DC and Aerosmith. There is still good rock out there, take Shinedown for example. They have talent and good lyrics with a meaning in them. Unlike rappers who sing about hoes and money and make millions of it.

First I love Rock. Rock is a type of music that really makes you want to like it. Rock music usisally uses the bass guitar electric guitar and the drums and of course a singer. Now if your talking heavy rock you use alot of bass and the singers voice has to be very deep and that his/her voice has to be able to resist screaming very deeply. My oppnion is that normal rock is better. Second I love Rap espacially Eminem. Rap is another type of music. Rap is ussially when the singer expresses what he feels and what he fells for others.
