I would have to say Rock
For some reason I just can't ever listen to Rap it sounds stupid and pointless to me.
I also prefer older music over a lot of the new stuff. These days it seems like very few artists have any actual talent.
Besides you can't beat Slash

I don't know. Rock is good, and it's great to listen to all day, and sometimes u can't understand what the rappers are saying, but they have catchier songs, so... I guess I would have to say rock.

Rock just slightly, but metal beats both.

Metal beats all =]

Sorry, just seems to me like Rap is to easy. All you do is string words together with a beat maker in the background.

Metal you have the drums, lead guitarist, backup guitarist [not always], bassist, and the vocalist who can go back and forth between screaming/roaring and singing. Plus some metal bands have the keyboard and there's also Symphonic Metal which has an even wider variety of instruments.

lol beat makers are so like 8 years ago. rappers actually have REAL and VERY talented drummers. those guys are really good to. and rap is not easy. its hard to do what lil wayne, the joker, emminem, and others do. coming up with stuff on the spot is not easy at all

now i do like dream theater to death, they are my favorite band and the most talented band the world has EVER and i mean EVER seen. and its because of there diversity in instruments that makes them good

Rock, for the one reason that I don't want to hear a black guy bragging about how he got laid the only good rap i haer is rock and rhyme

Rock is way harder and no modern tec has proven you don't need a drummer to make a beat but you need one for a drum roleyou forgot rock is atleast 3 people working hard for 2 years to get fast enough for people to like then 10 years for trying to get lucky

no way lol drums involves SSSOOOO much more technique. any guitarist can get good off of tabs. if you want to make it into the big leagues when it comes to drumming you HAVE to learn how to read music.

if you have ever seen mike portnoy or thomas pridgen there stuff is near IMPOSSIBLE while i see guitarists all the time at my school shredding no bounderies by michael angelo batio.

and heres a REAL
