I got the idea for this thread on my way to work today, they were talking about Hannibal Lecter on NPR, and I realized what a likeable character he is, especially for a crazed villian. So that leads to the question, who is your favourite villian; not because of how evil they are, but how strangely likeable they are. This can transcend movies, video games, etc.
But Tweety Bird is no Austin Powers. He isn't even a hero. He just sits up in his cage laughing at that stupid cat all day. If he believed that Sylvester had a chance at catching him, he would just give up, because he is nothing but a coward. Literally a yellow-belly.
Well, how about Dr. Heinz Doofenschmirtz from Phineas and Ferb? I know it is a real childish show, but Doofenschmirtz is really laughable! Or how about Bowser Jr.?
Here's another one no one has mentioned yet, that nasty one-armed pirate in Peter Pan. Dustin Hoffman really went all out with his role, I liked his clocks too. Even though his character was disgusting, he was still likable.
Yes, pmalan, Al Pacino did a fabulous job as Michael Corleone but he's so focused with anything he does! Getting back to the OP, though, Scarface was NOT likable.
Here's another one. Pennywise the clown, portrayed by Tim Curry in "It" by Stephen King was sooooo scary, I had nightmares! Since it was Tim Curry, though, he made the character likable.
