I do understand that there are some jobs men shouldn't do . . . but the daycare one doesn't make much sense to me. *Some* men shouldn't be doing daycare jobs . . . but a lot of men are finely suited to childcare. It's the sort of thing where I wouldn't trust a childless man to do a daycare job, just as I wouldn't trust a muscleless woman to be a firefighter or a heavy weapons operator. But in jobs more oriented to a certain gender, there's always a gray area.

Well, it is like you've said. In my opinion, if I had a child I would not want a man be my daycare worker. It does not have to do anything with pedophilia or anything like that. It has a lot to do with personal experiences of myself and numerous friends.
But going back to my other statement, I also do not want to be rescued by a woman firefighter. Yes, I know there are women that are remarkably strong.
My point has to do purely with mentality. And, I am willing to admit there are exceptions to the rule, but I am speaking in general.

In most situations I probably wouldn't care. I'd most likly determine things based on character. To me it doesn't matter if you're a man or a women, if you can do your job right then good. If it looks like you can't then I'll be upset.
