So a couple weeks ago, my dad entered a contract with an Amish company to have our decaying roof replaced with a metal roof. How they are doing this is ripping off the decaying roof, replacing it with covering, and then add the metal siding and roof material to it. We are currently in the covering process. I'm not sure what it's made out of; I gotta go talk with Pops about that. Anywhoo, we are in that process right now, while slowly adding in metal siding to the dorm windows.
Right now, there is a clawing at my wall, the one closest to my shower. I had Pops go check it out, and he came to the quick conclusion (after listening to the clawing, scratching, and various movement) that there is definitely something trapped in my roof, preferably a bird or a bat. Before the project started, this area was open, so there were probably nests in there. Apparently, the Amish guys put the covering on and trapped the nest in, so the birdies or batties are trying to get out. Well, they got a fixed time limit, so might wanna hurry that up...I have to sleep in a couple hours.
So..where am I going with this...Oh yeah! I guess you could share your freaky house stories in this thread, that'd be cool and stuff...
once a woodpecker tried to eat my wall and a cat broke into my house while i was sleeping and it jumped on me. i almost wet myself because it was dark, the cat was black and big, and i was only 5
OK here's one: I'm pretty sure my house is haunted. During both the day and the night, there will sometimes be heard a strange knocking noise... The noise seems to be coming from the attic. Strangely enough, not one of us has ever been in the attic. Also, guess where the entrance to the attic is... That's right. It's in my closet. Another thing about the knocking: it seems to occur in different places in the attic.
If the noise doesn't doesn't stop in a day or two, then it's a mouse.
I hope it's a mouse! Then you could call him Gerald. You can take him along for bike rides, feed him gingerbread men, and even hide him in your cloak as you go to school.

Ain't no way that noise is coming from a mouse; the noise is too great, plus I hear clawing and flapping every once in a while. It's stopped for now, so either that means they got out or they are in a brief respite before trying to break free again.
Also: If the noise doesn't stop in a day or two, that means they are dead rofl
Then it's official. Gerald will forever be remembered on my profile. I hope everyone remembers him. Gerald the Mysterious Attic Noise Maker. Deceased Tuesday May 18th 2010. This is now going on my about.
I dunno, he's not dead yet. Still kickin. And scratchin. And flappin.
So this other time when I was 9 I woke up because there was a bird flying about my room. I have cats you see, so they were ninjaing at mach speed trying to grab the bird. It was utter chaos! That bird was probably having a heart attack but didn't care!
