i think it was really a good movie. amazing visuals, a fresh setting to a ( i will admit) aging idea of ignorant humans destroying nature and its guardians. being a very attentive person, i became far too immersed in the storyline, which i normally dont.the epic battle scenes and 'New World'setting was what really sent it to the top of my fav movies.
I didn't watch it in 3D so probably that's why i don't like it. The graphics were awesome! i don't act like a movie criticand il say the bottom line: i dislike it.
Loved it. Visuals mean a great deal to me, and fantastic settings with unusual creatures... Awesomes.
It may not have been too original plotwise, but the story it tells isn't a bad one. I don't sit and try to ruin a movie for myself by predicting what will happen, I just enjoy the ride.
And the creatures<3 Way too much human and machine action in there, needed moar awesome flora and fauna. But t'was quite enjoyable~
Too much? i didnt think it was that intense in vilence. Of course i loved it its on my top 15 movies list, and i didnt even se it in 3D, because i am cheap and saw it at a $1 movie theatre.
I think it made for a very visually pleasing movie. At the same time it made for a intellectual snoozefest. The plot was completely predicatble. That being said, I think they knew that, and put every effort into making it a visual masterpiece instead.
Avatar was crap. Story was ripped off of Dancees With Wolves. Animation was no better than what they did for the Final Fantasy crafest movie. Also Avatar started the "3D" ressurection which gives me a headache. Any movie that jumps on the "3D" bandwagon is also crap in my book.
