darwin thought that based off of who would survive to pass on the genetics of the winner, therefore the population would be "controlled" by the stronger. if something had a favorable trait, such as harnessing sunlight from a large flower on their back to fire a deadly solar beam, then it would probably pass on it's genetics to it's children.

Pokemon has a far-off base idea of evolution. They don't pass on the genes to there children, they spontaneously go threw a transformation that gives them better traits. There children start over again at the basic level, witch goes against evolution.

Nope. It MUTATES or TRANSFORMS. Evolution involves many generations, yet as I stated they start over as children. Pokemon "evolution" is only growing, a child to an adult with a few more steps on a few.
