I am short on time, so I will keep it short and sweet. For you Christians, were is heaven?

Many modern Christians state that heaven is a place that we can not reach in the physical world. If that is true, than how does the tower of Babel make since?

In the binging of Christianity the Christians believed that heaven is in the sky, as the name and tower of Babel suggest. Then once human were able to fly, Christians said it was further out in space. Once we were able to send satellites into space, they said it was not in the physical realm.

So to recap, were is Christian heaven, how does the Tower of Babel make since if it is not close enough to build to, and to add, if the Tower of Babel story is a metaphor to you could you please state what it is a metaphor for?

It's as much an answer as Astrology is a science.

People believe that answer. Though it may not be correct, it is still an answer to the daily questions people ponder.

People believe astrology, they think it gives them insight into there lives. Mixes the answers up and and the specific insights work for virtually anyone. So they aren't actually getting insight, just the illusion of insight. This works for religion as well. People think they are getting answers when really it's just an illusion of having answers.

Anyway I think this has been derailed enough and I think it's rather safe to call you a troll at this point.

Im not happy with the non correct answer. Im fine with no answer at all and an everlong question left hanging by a thread. Im happy to debate. Im happy to be wrong but Im also stubborn about when I think Im right. Im happy for you to question the very fabric of my brain. Im very happy for you to not believe a word of what Im saying. Im not happy to be told not to debate. But I know the feeling of overpowering hopelessness and frustration with never knowing . When I get that... I dont post.

if he is their everything is perfect as the defanition of heaven states for god cannot stand before evil

He is everywhere. It's writen somewhere in the bible couple of times.

Question- God formed humans and he damn well knew (cuz he knows everything) that adam and eve will eat that apple, he knew how our psichology and way of thinking will turn out and therefore all our sins and good things are god's fault and not ours. therefore hell and heaven are to be perserved for god only and we can't enter them. Isn't this a contradiction?

Religion is not a disease, it is an answer.

The fact that religion is a disease was widely belived in the USSR, and the idea was formed in the 18th century.
The only things it answers is what to do if you are bored on sunday and how much of an idiot you are.

In some cases (perhaps most) I would agree, but not everyone is an idiot for believing.

Heaven is in the mind. Religion (while I believe The Bible was the first novel, just so well written that early people went crazy, again Im not atheist) is a way for humanity to justify its actions. For those who have been good and not "sinned" its a way to feel safe, especially in our current state of world. I'm also severely tired of religion debate, mainly because there are TOO MANY conflicting views. Way too many here at AG.

I'd like to point out that religions are akin to cults. Many of the people that get involved with them are intelligent people that seek to belong to something and not feel isolated. There are some idiots, but that applies to every religion and almost every viewpoint and opinion in history - so that point isn't particularly valid.

How can anyone know where heaven is? We haven't been there.

If I was a christian I would probably say that since God is a meta-physical being, it would be safe to assume that Heaven is a meta-physical place - existing on a separate plane to us.

Wow. Wasn't expecting that to come out of you.
Good answer...

I may be arrogant, unkind, stubborn and prone to lashing out but I can see the argument from the other sides perspective when I need to. Of course, to reinforce my point about different planes I could point to 'out-of-body' experiences while close to death and say that these show the existence of a soul which is the thing that ascends to the spiritual plane/heaven.

That leads to another question-What is the soul?

It is said to be metaphysical, yet even in the bible people can steel it, and manipulate it. The Bible has several necromancers who are able to call souls, and theoretically able to raise the dead to do there bidding. If it is metaphysical than how do they control it?

For those of you who don't know were the necromancer is, here is one example were they are not just mentioned by name but give an example of there powers...

1 Samuel 28:9
But the woman said, 'Don't you know that Saul rid the land of mediums and necromancers? Why would you lay a trap for me so as to bring about my death?'

1 Samuel 28:10-11
So Saul swore an oath by Yahweh, saying, 'As surely as Yahweh lives, you will not be punished for this matter. Now conjure Samuel for me!'

1 Samuel 28:13, 15
When the woman saw Samuel, she cried out loudly. When Saul realized it was Samuel, he bowed to the ground. Samuel said to Saul, 'Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?'

All taken from the brick testament.

Perhaps the souls are waiting at a point between heaven and earth for judgement day? And in some way can be manipulated through incantations or rituals (necromancy) to return to the earth in some way?

Wouldn't that go against the idea of them going directly to heaven though? And what about those who go to hell?

I suppose it would support the Catholic idea of purgatory though.
