Happy Birthday @DeathstormKnight. Your recent 'Alcatraz: sink or swm' still has me puzzled. How did you code it so either people are left on screen? I've read through the code thread, but can't figure it out.

Also is it possible to have a person invisible on-screen, but still killable? I wanted to have this person invisible behind a ship, but had to make do with him being hidden behind vertical blocks (horizontal blocks don't seem to hide them for long).

The ship happens to be carrying Illegal Weapons to a war zone. The crew have switched off their radio and refuse to turn around.

Double up on the blocks. I used 2 above and two below but the coding is important. In the sequence, 2 below, then prince, then 2 above so that he is in the middle. I should have put the bsj's at the start of the code so that when you first looked at it, you would not have seen it but when you made the shot, it would have shown up.

How did you code it so either people are left on screen?

@limnxy, it is called cheating! By simply placing a person or persons at x=2000, they will die twice. If you want to delay the deaths, put them up high!

You can also put them at y=900. As long as they are totally off screen, they will die twice. On a level like that, you can't settle or it might not work.

You can also set it up so that you have multiple kills. Alone with only the peasants underground, you get a 8/7 kill ratio. Add 2 people above and you get a 12/9 kill ratio. This means that for everyone that is safe, the same number of peasants die twice! Weird eh?

Thanks @CourtJester. I will need to do some experiments using this cheating death method.

When I mentioned the problem of horizontal blocks it was about the issue of people hiding behind horizontal blocks, no longer being hidden when the camera pans back after the first shot. However, if you turn the block to a vertical position the person will remain hidden. But they still need a gap for the head and feet. It appears from from your example they can only be completely hidden by foundation blocks.

@Limnxy, they can also be hidden by any of the props. Windows are one of them that works quite well. You have to block them twice with the person in the middle. This is the way it works with Flash. I will make another level hiding people with other props.

@Limnxy, using windows is a pain because @Joeybetz did not allow more than 1 decimal point in the coding so working with multiple of 40's is better thus the barrels. Once again, the victim must be covered from both top and bottom and you have to figure out the Y placement value. This time, I put the hidden Jester as the first victim in the code!

This will hold a whole new meaning for you in 3-D programming because once I had the basics built, I had to code in everything else without the editor. Ha ha! BTW, to crush this thing in one, you have to hit at or below the top iron bar so the ladder fails and not the barrels.

ZACH0 NEEDS A HEAD BUTT!

Still working on my castle but it keeps falling apart. The competition looks pretty heavy and nice to see @DrElmer back with a level that froze my computer!!! Ha ha ha Had to throw some acid in yo face mama! Ha ha ha
