Post your playable Crush the Castle 2 maps. There are other threads for talking about CtC2. If it's not good for shooting at or interesting to look at don't put it here: NO castles that fall apart by themselves, NO random junk piles.
i still have yet to come up with the ultimate castle... one that will be a super big hit - i need to think outside the box
Most of your stuff is excellent retro, but your dealing with a very young group of players here. The stuff we did in the now defunct Netshift was amazingly fun. And, the players were older. I am not sure what the solution is but, after looking at the levels that Lewel is copying and bringing back to the Level Pit is actually nice because trying to find them in the last thread is a waste of time. Tris has done a lot of work digging up some of the best creations and your levels are amongst them.
In other games including CTCPP, Joey gave us a thread of Staff Picks. Maybe we should have a competition thread for best ever levels and not levels that have been cheated. These levels will show the workmanship of the castle builder and we could vote on them weekly or bi-weekly. They do not have to be our creations but those of others that we appreciate. Choisart was a master but I think he is not making things anymore. What we need is for Joey to allow us to search for levels by Author. That will give you more hits because people respect your levels.
As for me, I am just testing the physics of this game and it is totally inconsistent. The small bombs are not 20x20 pixels (but less) and that is what creates a lot of lag on your creations with multiple bombs. Nothing is consistent!
The original CTC gave us a lot of leeway in positioning and I have used up to 5 decimal points to position a figure because none of those elements were consistent but, the program allowed it!
Oh well, I guess they are saving disk space... Our bad!
Clearing your browser cache will often fix problems with loading the game. Should he clear cookies too? I think just the cache. This is going to erase the presets on websites you've visited though - not usually a big problem.
