Your vote? Mine would be, aside from Freebird obviously, either More than a Feeling or Comfortably Numb.

That is a fantastic solo. The first, softer-ish solo before the Darkness Riff is also pwnage.

either More than a Feeling

Really? I think that solo is decent, but not fantastic...

or Comfortably Numb.

Now that's an epic solo. So is Time.

I'd have to say...*thinks for 10 minutes* Gee... *opens iTunes*
Hmm... Maybe Jimi Hendrix's Star Spangled Banner / Purple Haze / solo at Woodstock. Or Dazed and Confused, Song Remains the Same soundtrack live, by Led Zeppelin. Or Sweet Child of Mine by Guns N' Roses.

I love the solos in Comfortably Numb. I also like the solo in Fade to Black by Metallica because it's really clean and fun to listen to. Hey Joe is fun to listen to as well.

Fade to Black has an awesome solo. The best around, if you ask me.

Mr. Bobby that is a pretty good one. Also Detroit Rock City; Generic but epic.

well panic attack by dream theater is hands down the winner.

beast bass guitar solo at the begining.

then theres the keytar solo by the greatest keyboard player who ever lived, jorden rudess. (dont even lie you know he is ;P)

then theres a shred fest by petrucci

and a syncronized solo between all three.

Tornado of Souls by Megadeth and Xiron Darkstar by Exumer have awesome solos.

No More Tears[b]. It's so hard to choose. I wanted to say November Rain, but it's not "a" solo, so have to go with Zak Wylde's work. Eruption by Van Halen, that's a good one. Um, Hot For Teacher is great as well. And there's always While My Guitar Gently Weeps[b].

If bass solos count, For Whom the Bell Tolls takes all prizes. The intro is truly the best bit of bass work, ever.

Bathory - Call from the Grave. A legendary black metal solo. Gives me an eargasm every time I listen to it.

You should listen to Light My Fire by the Doors. It has a sick keyboard solo and guitar solo back to back.

I kind of like the Orion bass solo better, but For Whom the Bell Tolls did have a sick bass solo.
