This is a bit of a forum game, but at the same time it has the capacity to result in a bit of poetry, so it goes here. I'm going to supply a line of poetry, and the following poster is to create a poem using the line I gave as their first. Along with their poem, they supply a line for the next person to write poetry on. No restrictions on the type of line or poetry; just keep the line open ended.

Here's the first line:

A mountain pokes out awkward in the mist

your fate is never set
your life is never wound
your decisions depend on you
your fate is never set
so take a new option

lemonaid at arcades
like pop at a movie
its so right
yet kind of wrong

(drawing a blank here)

Life in your hands,
But lacking in your eyes.
For you are but a craftsman
Who's forced to live the lies.

Your rendered works are beauties,
Your hand divinely skilled.
yet these are naught but duties;
Your spirit's long been killed

An empty, hollow shell whose creations
Have more life than their master.
Success brings no elations
To your soul, befallen by disaster.

I am struck by clarity

Lemon-aid at the arcades
Saves the lemon's life
Extends it's life by decades
Until it meets a knife.

Apple-aid on the train
Mends the poor fruit
The apple is whole again
Unlike it's ripped suit.

Next sentence:

I am the slayer of cheese

understandance

Lol, I don't think that's a word. try understanding (unless you were going for irony with the starting line?)

with truly awe (truly is spelt this way)
I gaze upon the street
filled with people
sitting in boxes
and I wonder
How could this happen
to anyone?

Oh, I checked, and understandance is not a word. But poets are allowed to make their own words

The war is over (thanks for saying i can make up words)

the worst is over
but we have to clean up

the devistation
of the bombs blasts
were most of the pain

The freezing winds
Under Boreas' command

Spreading under the northern sky
Bringing ice to all they touch

Harbingers of winter
Messengers of ice and snow

Life as it is
Through a cynical eye
Becomes a bunch of atoms
Swirling around
Through an optimist's eye
They atoms are people
Living and dying
Striving to be all they can be

The grass is always greener
the sky is always bluer
the sun is always brighter
the clouds are always puffier

the air is cleaner
the trees are always taller
if you choose
to have life that way

greed is to strong for love
it will crush all it finds
greed is to strong for love
to all it will bind

The man with the "gituar"
Had invented the "gituar"
Because he did not know how to spell
"Guitar", that's a "fell"

Sorry, that was intended for mockage only, not insult.

I can never say a word
my lips forever sealed
never able to express
my inner feelings

how I long for someone
to hear what I've to say
to converse with me
all of the days

but alas, this cannot be
for I can never say a word
my lips are sealed
I am forever mute
