This is a bit of a forum game, but at the same time it has the capacity to result in a bit of poetry, so it goes here. I'm going to supply a line of poetry, and the following poster is to create a poem using the line I gave as their first. Along with their poem, they supply a line for the next person to write poetry on. No restrictions on the type of line or poetry; just keep the line open ended.

Here's the first line:

A mountain pokes out awkward in the mist

Will I ever know?
Will ever know what this world is about?
Will I ever know what's beyond this world?
Will I ever know if there's anyone else out there waiting to be found?
Will I...

Seeing the world with half closed eyes
Will block out the truth as well as the lies.
So I keep them that way, for I am so tired.
Knowledge is sorrow, much undesired.

Did just run him over?
My smiling dog;
My Rover

A stranger speeding down the street
Would be preferable
The enemy in another seat

But when the killer's hands are mine
The blame turns within
Grief and anger combine

But now his life is over
My only dog
my Rover.

The frozen pool
sits all day
through the winter months
no one dares
to enter it
for fear of sudden shock.

The frozen pool
starts thawing now
as spring comes upon us
and very soon
its waters
will be filled with many again.

I hope this one is good.

Let's see what can be done with this line

In the life
Of a human

Tragedy abounds
And happiness is scarce

In the life
Of a human

Death is inevitable
While life is shaky

In the life
Of a human

Questions are constant
Answers are nonexistent

In the life
Of a human

Tentative anger, Indomitable rage

Tentative anger, Indomitable rage;
A seasoned fury that strengthens with age.
The warrior's bloodlust, a fountain of ire,
Eternal flames that will burn ever higher.

A fury that's held by those of the sword,
A fury as strong as a ravaging horde.
Look in their eyes and see hatred's spark,
That shines like a candle amidst the dark.

They bear no patience and spare no lives,
For their rage is as cutting as ten thousand knives.
Peace finds no room in their vicious hearts;
There is only room for the killing arts.

Tentative anger, Indomitable rage
a violent fit of fury
Comes upon me while I sit
in this cloud of grey

Here they mock and ridicule me
for things I've yet to do
And now my anger 'but consumes me
You know what I will do

Christmas Eve night (just trying to add some cheeriness. I
might use this again closer to
Christmas.)

I had a talk with the man on the moon,
I asked him if his head felt any better.
He replied no, then gave me some cheese,
And a very nice, cozy, and warm sweater.

Hahahahahaha fail.
