This is a bit of a forum game, but at the same time it has the capacity to result in a bit of poetry, so it goes here. I'm going to supply a line of poetry, and the following poster is to create a poem using the line I gave as their first. Along with their poem, they supply a line for the next person to write poetry on. No restrictions on the type of line or poetry; just keep the line open ended.

Here's the first line:

A mountain pokes out awkward in the mist

The pieces of our hearts,
made of flesh and blood,
demonstrate our once
great love.

Broken apart and stepped upon!
Miserable souls those who do so!
May they die in the end
condemnation!

Foolish those who oppose us
as we construct them once more,
and as flowers re-blossom in spring,
so will our love

Cavemen are hunting dinosaurs,
Absurd is the thought
That they had a chance
To take one down
With such a small stance.
Their pitiful sticks
Couldn't compete
With skin so thick.
Try as they might
None went down
Came home every night
Nothing was found.

I'll let whoever the next person is make their own first line.
Freebie time.

Like diamonds on a velvet dress,
The stars do shine in sky's embrace.
Chaotic forms made by a mess
Of beauty's tears upon night's face.

A crystal fire in the black,
So thrilling in their silent gaze.
A wonder we can't yet attack
To try and glorify our days.

The dancers of a graceful ball
Whose movements daze and mesmerize.
And even when these angels fall
They still will hold our yearning eyes.

Their distance and their mystery
Enthrall and grasp the curious mind.
They sail a never-ending sea
To places we aren't meant to find.

And as the pompous golden one
Begins to wake and hide the rest,
We know for now their time is done
But will return to keep us blessed.

Where is the child that I once was?

Where is the child that I once was?
Innocent and ignorant
At peace with the blindness
I miss the old me
Where Mom and Dad would always take care
And I never had to worry.
Where is that child what I once was?
Where I never had to question
What someone does
Where did I go?
Why in the world
Did I ever want to know?

Seeing the Moon in the daytime

Seeing the Moon in the daytime,
A double of brother sun,
Two glowing orbs of ivory and gold.
The clouds shine shades of silver,
And the grass is shining jade,
The cool water that reflects the sky
Is filled with fish, scales gleaming
Like diamonds and sapphires.
Here I sit and feel the wealth of earth,
I sit upon a treasure chest thats
Too beautiful to have a price.

Priceless

Priceless,
the imbeciles stealing my rum,
my tablecloth that is alive,
and my gnomes.

Priceless,
the sick *******s that call themselves bees,
at the decisive moment they flee,
massacred by the rampaging tablecloth.

Memories destroyed by fire and dust,
covered by water,
long lost in weird heads,
and weird minds.

This is just something short in attempt to get this great topic moving again.

When Mexicans invade the US,
War will be spread across nations,
A bloody mess throughout the world,
People searching for some salvation.

People fighting with sticks-Shakspearian sonnet

People fighting with sticks
Are people without ethics
They hurt their comrades chicks
And create chaos that looks pretty epic.

The fight without mercy
And kill even the strongest men.
They're surrounded with great controversy
And are the mother goose for the hen.

They kill in a blink of an eye
And don't show a single regret.
So beware these men or cry
About all the memories you will try to forget.

So be careful when you give a stick to a child.
They might turn to be one these people who are really wild.

Falling into the abyss of insanity
I become another individual of humanity
All like in similar features
We are all just teachers
Feeding generations lies
I hope my spirit will not die
I rebel with hope to individualize
I know I'll be killed by the guys

Run, run, as fast as you can or you're doomed
yes, to that dark, dark, place, that tomb
There will be no way out, no escape
Because, even here, you're never truly safe

Why are there such long lines? Why? Why?

Let's hope that there's an end to this,
This monstrosity that consumes us all.
Let's wish upon the sparkling stars
That to greed mankind won't fall.
Let's try to stop our plundering hands
And our pointless bloody wars.
Let's sit together and watch the night sky,
Amongst the sparkling stars.

Chills
Run down
Your spine;
Whispering
Into your soul.

The Chills
Have enter your
Agonized soul.
There is no escape;
You must embrace
The pain, embrace
The lonely cold.

Shrieks fill the air
As I fist towards the shrieks
To find them I hope
Or they become lost with no cope
I've lost brain dope

What do I do now?
