I have searched for polls on internet to see this but havnt found any popular ones, so i decided to put this here to get an idea of what people like best. I think it would be cool if this site had like weekly polls though that would be cool. Also i used the forum search to check if this already existed, all i found was Pizza vs Burger o.O
Personally i think mustard beats ketchup all they way. The ONLY time i eat ketchup is on hashbrowns and french fries, sometimes i eat mustard with french fries instead. In terms of heath mustard wins exept that it has a ton of sodium.
Ok so i want to know now what you people prefer, as i say am Mustard FTW!
Ok seriously need some mustard fans up in here. I dont want to put ketchup on my Hotdawg and not be able to taste the dawg. Ketchup really i think is too sweet, I prefer bitter, tangy, and spicy tastes, which mustard kind of has all of.
I love mustard. I like ketchup but it's nothing compared to mustard. I only use ketchup for french fries. Mustard is awesome. Don't judge it by it's yellow color.
Ketchup is tasty on salty, fried, starchy things like french fries, but adds nothing to anything else. Mustard wins because it's one of the most versatile condiments in the world - there are hundreds of different kinds of mustard, from yellow mustard, to brown mustard and black mustard, and even dessert mustard. Ketchup is really a one-trick pony, whereas mustard can be a good fit in almost any recipe, depending on the type of mustard.
You guys need to try other kinds of mustard besides yellow mustard, seriously. If this was yellow mustard vs. ketchup, the thread title would be 'yellow mustard vs ketchup,' not 'Ketchup vs Mustard.'
There are hundreds of different kinds of mustard, and ketchup just has tomato ketchup, banana ketchup, and Old World mushroom ketchup.
Well for me it would have to be Mustard.. there are so many types of Mustard in the world, such as honey mustard(omg:]). Mustard is more on my side from the taste,, it's spicy, tasty and tangy. You can put it on almost anything I guess.. if you like it xD Almost anything such as burgers, hotdogs, etc.
Don't get me wrong though I like ketchup too.. just mustard better..
And if you love both.. just mix them! It taste great with fries or something.
I strongly dislike both. I also nearly never eat anything with any kind of dressing on...
I do like tomato sauce, though, but that's more pure (lacking an accent for the e) based and just doesn't really compare to the ketchup flavour. Luckily >.>
On a side note, it was nice to see a 1+ page of a vs. topic with only two one word posts. Keep that going.
Actually, ketchup can be defined as: any of other various condiments or sauces for meat, fish, ect.
you can define it like that if you want, but you'll be wrong. Ketchup is "A condiment consisting of a thick, smooth-textured, spicy sauce usually made from tomatoes."
It is not a condiment for meat, fish, etc., it is a spicy, smooth sauce usually made from tomatoes, and even if it isn't made from tomatoes, the ingredients that pretty much have to be there limit the potential uses of ketchup as a whole. Either way, there're less types of ketchup than there are mustard, and ketchup as a whole is much less versatile.
