I'm gonna start of by saying that Kinect looks amazing and I can't wait till they make that for shooter games.
Another thing that will be nice is the 250gb memory, I mean thats like almost a laptop.
Yet another thing thats cool about it is its new look (smaller, cooler, and as microsoft put it "Sexier"
NOTE: All you hold outs waiting for the Xbox 720 or what ever theyre gonna call it there not gonna release it for years and years now (at least about 10) because as long as the 360 (including the 360 slim) still creats revenue then they won't even think about releasing it and kinect will open soooo many doors its gonna generate revenue for quite a long while.

Kinect works with, or IS, going to work with every xbox 360 console. Besides that fact, i really want to get it as well, it looks AMAZING! But a future problem could be that the open tray and power on button are touch sensors bother me, because what if your dog trots by and his tail hits it? or your friend or someone touches it just to look at it. The built in wi-fi just makes it BOSS, then people can sell that stupid wi-fi adapter for like a hundred bucks. and the 250gig memory is a little bit too much for the "casual" gamer. Though it being free, its awesomerr!!1! and how its purr quiet will make it a whole lot better, mine sounds like a friggin buzzsaw at 4 a.m. lol its loud as crap, so another great feature im looking for.
That thing looks amazing, I really want it but it's not in the budget at the moment. The built in wi-fi is killer, now Sony has nothing over it. My only hope is the kinect doesn't turn out to be like Playstations Eye-toy or whatever it was called.
Looks nice and all, but I don't really see that many people who already own a 360 buying this. It's mainly to convert some people playing PS3 over to Microsoft.

That would depend upon the laptop. It's probably big enough for what most casual gamers would need. But updates as mere as increasing the size of the hard drive isn't going to lure me into buying the new console. Might as well buy 125GB external hard drives(?) for the existing console.
I suppose one thing good that comes out of hardware improvements is the new cooling system. The new fans are supposedly near-silent and should prevent cooling-related RRODs. That's an important thing considering the RROD (which was most commonly caused by the bad architecture of the cooling system) was a large reason why consumers went for Sony's alternative. Otherwise there's no actual mentionable upgrades to the system unit.

Definitely not that long. I'd say three or four maximum. In a decades time the next generation Sony console (not a tweaked version like this) will be out and Microsoft cannot afford to let Sony dominate the market once again. Nintendo will also be chasing Microsoft with its adventurous attitude towards the new movement-detecting technologies and I seriously doubt Microsoft can spare that much time, regardless of the income they're getting from the 360.

It can't be too big. Yes, it's a very advanced piece of software but look at the DS. Sure, it's not detecting entire movements but it's detecting single movements in the stylus. That's like detecting an arm. They can fit that on an in-built hard-drive that can fit into the small space of the bottom screen. It could be a massive file, depending on how it was coded, what it was programmed using but I don't think it's going to be a monster.
It's like a cleaned up version of the MW2 Limited Edition xbox. They're pretty much the same thing except the slim is smaller and not as loud and has built in wifi.
Wow, that's so cool! I wouldn't get it right now, because XBOX just does this to get double the sales. They're gonna add like an XBOX 180 or 720 or something right after people lose interest in this one.
Well I'm going to get a PS3 eventually cause I like it more. Sorta looks like a PS3 yet its a bit bigger.
Haha its bigger than the ps3 slim, but smaller than the old school ps3... Which of course i still have the first gen ps3. So when i saw the commercials i thought it was a mini me version of my ps3. With a cool light. yeah.
