I'm gonna start of by saying that Kinect looks amazing and I can't wait till they make that for shooter games.
Another thing that will be nice is the 250gb memory, I mean thats like almost a laptop.
Yet another thing thats cool about it is its new look (smaller, cooler, and as microsoft put it "Sexier"
NOTE: All you hold outs waiting for the Xbox 720 or what ever theyre gonna call it there not gonna release it for years and years now (at least about 10) because as long as the 360 (including the 360 slim) still creats revenue then they won't even think about releasing it and kinect will open soooo many doors its gonna generate revenue for quite a long while.
Haha its bigger than the ps3 slim, but smaller than the old school ps3... Which of course i still have the first gen ps3. So when i saw the commercials i thought it was a mini me version of my ps3. With a cool light. yeah.
It looks cooler and is smaller and quiter with 250gb hardrive and built in wifi and kinect ready but tbh kinect will just be like eye toy and wii so i dont think i am going to get it
I don't see why people are going to get the Xbox 360 slim. The new PS3 costs about the same price, has built in and free wi-fi, is more technologically advanced, will be compatible with 3D TVs, have better cooling and are more reliable, has Blu-Ray, and you can tinker inside easier (as far as I know), has cooler exclusive games, looks better and is better in just about every way.

yes you can but you have to down load a very large file -- idk exactly but its very large think about it your downloading a WHOLE different software thats very advanced its gonna take a LOT of room

It works with any Xbox all you have to do is plug it in, it's just the Slim has Kinect already ready to go

Of course people have preferences as to which companies they prefer, but buying something for the name rather than the performance seems a bit daft to me. Especially when the price gap between the two platforms is about as much as a game.

Uhm, Kinect is the hardware. He's discussing software - probably drivers and whatever other files they need to allow the console to detect input from the suit or controller etc. These are going to be downloaded when the console detects the new hardware.
That's how it works on PC at least, and I'm presuming you still need drivers to allow the hardware to interact with software.
Go look up the video that shows him lifting up the slim just over 15 degrees and the disc completely gets scratched and non usable. I mean wow hope no earthquaked don't happen.
But a future problem could be that the open tray and power on button are touch sensors bother me, because what if your dog trots by and his tail hits it?

Remember, PS3 also uses the touch sensor. I don't know if people have these problems very often.
Wow, that's so cool! I wouldn't get it right now, because XBOX just does this to get double the sales.
It's always about sales. The Slim is a great improvement over the 360.
Anyway, the Slim is much quieter than the 360. It does have a cool sleek look to it, though I don't care for the fact that it is a fingerprint magnet. I hope the glossy finish phase ends soon *draws a smiley face with smudge marks on lap top*. The Slim is smaller. It may not seem like a big deal, but the few inches make a big difference. The Wi-Fi is absolutely amazing. Yes, I know PS3 already had it, but I'm glad the xbox finally took such a turn.
My xbox died a long time ago, and I never got to replacing it. I just bought a slim. Apparently, if your system does start to overheat, it gives you a warning and suggests you turn it off. I hope to never see that screen, but at least I'm comforted that there's a warning.

It does have better online play and a more active community. The games on xbox are better in my opinion. I don't like the idea of 3D TV because you have to sacrifice image quality to get the effect. PS3 does have better graphics and also supports Blu-Ray. The xbox has good graphics and nobody really cares for everything to be a little bit more crisp at the cost of quality. In fact, PS3 games tend to look too smooth and glossy at times.
It's all about preference. People who have all three systems (or at least an xbox and a PS3) tend to play more games on their xbox while using their PS3 for everything else.

You should NEVER move your xbox while it has a disk in it. In fact, anything where you set the disk into the tray should never move while a disk is in it. It's okay if the disk snaps into the tray, but if it doesn't snap in, then don't budge it.
