I saw this topic about burnt to death or freeze to death and i thought, what would you choose, no arms or no legs?
I would choose no arms, because you can still walk and run, but it's very difficult because people have to help you a lot, you can't wash yourself without your arms..
yep, they connect the arm to the left over nerves, and use the phantom sensations to slowly get the amputee used to the arm. Apparently it's quite effective.
You can also get another persons arms. They did this. A man was in an accident and had too amputate his arms. But he got, I think another man who had died and supported these studies. Well, he got his arms. They connected the new arm nerves too the old and soon enough they will be fully operational. It can take one to four years, or more. But he will still get new arms eventually.
I read something about prosthesis a few months ago. They have technology these days which enables one to control a prosthetic arm with one's mind.
Won't take long before that happens to the legs too, I suppose.

And we already have a shortage on donor organs lol...
No, any arm wont fit. I think it's like any other organ donations. Different sizes and so on.
I think it would be very weird to think that you are walking with the arms of an other, no arm fits your body as good as your own! but how would they select arms? Color (brown/white/etc), size etc?
I think he washed his feet before that. But that guy had hands too. I think he did 10 or 20 or 30 sandwiches in only a minute with all the tomato, salad, cucumber. And other stuff.
But would you eat those sandwiches? are there more bacteria on a foot or on a hand?
On a hand... Ofcourse A kiss is healthier than a handshake, and well... feet only touch your sucks.. and maybe some mud... and more mud... and maybe some chewing gum on the floor... But hey! You wear shoes right?
