With so many useless and repetitive threads around here, it is so hard to get any decent threads that will last a long time. There are some, however, that do make it, but there really aren't that many at all since so many are useless.
Just wondering why everyone comes up with topics that are the same as a few pages back (can't you check?), and why only few can make it to the popularity stage, and why do they make it there?
Ernie, I agree with you. I have no idea why bumping threads is alienated and feared here. There is no problem in validly bumping a thread. Better than making a new one.
Making a new thread is one point. Bumping a thread is one point. That logic doesn't quite work. :/

On Myninjakiwi, the logic was the opposite. People hated bumpers (which I didn't understand even then) so much, that if someone bumped a few threads now and then, they'd be permanently labeled as a bumper, which made them a huge target.
It was actually pretty funny what people said about bumpers. Most of the mods didn't even see them as regular users. That was one of the many things that put me above the rest of the mods.

Well, as you said they're afraid to bump the thread...

Because they don't understand that bumping can be good for a reason...Preventing a duplicate can be one reason...
