With so many useless and repetitive threads around here, it is so hard to get any decent threads that will last a long time. There are some, however, that do make it, but there really aren't that many at all since so many are useless.

Just wondering why everyone comes up with topics that are the same as a few pages back (can't you check?), and why only few can make it to the popularity stage, and why do they make it there?

Well, I guess its just some people are way too lazy to do so.

People have a weird fear of bumping threads, which I've never understood.

Don't do a sports thread cause quicly people see it and think of repeats to knock it down.

Well, I made the Premier League thread, since I haven't come across any of those yet.

I had to bring it back a few hours ago.

People are too lazy to actually make a decent thread. They just copy off for points.

Ernie, I agree with you. I have no idea why bumping threads is alienated and feared here. There is no problem in validly bumping a thread. Better than making a new one.

You just need a good reason.

Making a new thread is one point. Bumping a thread is one point. That logic doesn't quite work. :/

On Myninjakiwi, the logic was the opposite. People hated bumpers (which I didn't understand even then) so much, that if someone bumped a few threads now and then, they'd be permanently labeled as a bumper, which made them a huge target.

That doesn't make sense.

Why re-create threads when you can revive?

It was actually pretty funny what people said about bumpers. Most of the mods didn't even see them as regular users. That was one of the many things that put me above the rest of the mods.

Well, as you said they're afraid to bump the thread...

Because they don't understand that bumping can be good for a reason...Preventing a duplicate can be one reason...

So are you saying I get awarded everytime I bring a thread back from page 3 or something?

Maybe, maybe not. If It is a necessary revive...Rather than a necro.

No. I didn't say that. You only bump when it is necessary too, or if you have a good reason.

@Ernie

Heh. Well, at least it isn't like that here.
