However, I would agree with forced labor by means of punishment for crimes. Certain crimes (namely non-white collar crimes) merit punishment, and sitting in a jail cell doesn't do much. I say they should get punishment, and still remain a productive member of society. They wouldn't get paid more than food, water, shelter, and typical prison stuff for 40 hours a week. Give them some money beyond 40 hours, and it would be incentive for them to contribute even more.
It would give too much incentive to throw people in prison. The huge amount of cheap labor made available using this strategy would make prisons abuse to system. There are already stories of judges getting kickbacks from wardens to sent prisoners who might otherwise be on probation or home arrest to prison. This 'rison slavery' would exacerbate the problem.

Questioning about slavery isn't racist in any way.. anyone who says otherwise is just a little over-sensitive about the subject, like half the planet I guess xD

It was a bad time in american and south afircan history but at the end of the day you must forgive and forget, I am white and I have no problems with black people and I think we should all live with the mindset that race is there but it doesn't matter.

Why is that? They really do have it figured out. Read the Book of Abraham in the Book of Mormon. It clearly explains that God punishes the wicked by darkening their skin, and uses this as a justification for slavery.

I find that image offensive! Just because the black guy went to Mcdonalds to buy some fried chicken , went to a liquor store to buy some malt liquor, then drank all of it and passed out next to some fruit does not mean that all black people do these things! Stop stereotyping..............
