Blacks and whites are treated the same now (legally).
Actually this isn't entirely correct. There are more provisions under the law to protect racial minorities than there are for whites. Going strictly by that then from a legal standpoint whites actually have LESS rights under the current laws.

I brought that one up once, and no one understood it and called me racist. So I got evidence, and got called racist more. So now I just act racist...
No, racism is still alive, and it can go the other way around. (For example, i'm a guy livin' on the Navajo nation, (Look it up) and people call me racial slurs.) It's just that racism is morally and mentally wrong. It's making fun about your race. Also, if you make fun of a person's skin color, you must be runnin' out of insults. :P
From what I've seen in schools and stuff, It's like many blacks feel that racism only applies to them, and not to whites. So they can say what they want about whites but say anything back and suddenly you are a racist.. :|

Because you are being racist, you racist!
Okay, lets get serious : ).
Wait a couple of years until the "We deserve (insert item here)because our ancestors were slaves" ideas leave their heads. If anything, they should continue striving for equality and also try to raise those who practice the "hood" and "ghetto" cultures out of the gutter, which is one of the things we get the most flak for.
Other things: Certain rap artists and idiots who idolize them and education. (former seems to be a problem to all races) Gangsta rap needs to be destroyed(it hurts my ears)! Edumacation in some areas of the states (it could be better)

Umm... it's been 150 years. I don't think they are giving up. And blacks were not the only slaves. Many white europeans were made slaves when they arrived in the US. You don't see them screaming for reparations do you?

History channel never told me that!!!! NO, you're lying to me, no way europeans would enslave their own......................no way whatsoever..............no way................no.
The most racist thing in the world is physiology. Jumping is more important than swimming!!
. . . anyway, stereotypes aside, the only reason racism is still around are because of the crackaass crackas who be hatin' on my home-skillets, dawg, and civil rights organizations who look through the news to find something to turn racist. Like with Obama's race to the top program - some civil rights group tried to paint the federal government as racist because the two winning states just so happened to not have a lot of black students in their schools. Not every statistic not in favor of black people is a grievous racist assault.
Also, liek I said earlier in forced ebonics, there're still shades of racism in the rednecks and the old people. Take away those two opposing factions, and racism would largely disappear, both as a topic and as an issue.

Many whites also have this mentality, and it's not even reversed. I forgot who it was, but they said "If Obama becomes president we may have to rename the white house."
Personally, I found that statement to have no racism in it at all, and yet many whites and blacks attacked this man. Obama is black, that is a fact. Racism requires stereotyping.
And if you look throughout the animal kingdom there are many animals that utilize forms of slavery, from ants to our nearest cousins, the monkey. Slavery, stereotyping, and racism are prevalent throughout many species, humans just happen to be the only ones who have the mental capacity to analyze these things. Stereotyping and racism have always, and will always, be around. They are byproducts of our instincts. Our brains identify something that is different or opposed to us and immediately identify these things as undesirable. Until our brains evolve to such a point where many of our primal defense mechanisms are no longer a part of us then we will always have these things.
Affirmative action is reverse discrimination and reparations are an odd idea. When I want a doctor I would prefer an experienced and knowledgeable one. I don't care what he/she looks like or believes in. True equality can only be achieved when we think this way for everybody .
