I suppose it may depend on a lot of factors. I would probably have to say it is wrong if it's creepy pedo porn. Or if your watching your wife's sister, or if it is obviously upsetting to your significant other. Then it may be a little wrong. Is looking at porn in general wrong? Then I will have to agree with what is said above. Conflicting with your religion or personal morals, then that's obvious. I personally enjoy my porn on a daily basis. In fact I am often complimented on my over all cheerful attitude through out the day.
Occasionally we will get a xxx movie and watch it, usually just laughing because they are so incredibly cheesy and the 'acting' portions are comedic and ridiculous.
My wife and I also do this. It's a great way to learn about your partner. Maybe learn things that you or they didn't know was a turn on. Sometimes it may be a little embarrassing to explain something you may like. Porn can be a positive tool to inform your lover on something you might be into, or vice-versa. I find watching pornography can be extremely educational.
watching pornography can be extremely educational.
OK KIDS!!*elmo walks in*Today where going to be learning about porn!!!So there are various positions of sex like the sixty-niner the reverse cowgirl etc.*pulls out 2 dolls*witch one is this!I'm going to show you a video and you're gonna tell me.....
I don't know where im going with this, but it seems like a joke to me.
Who said anything about educating children with pornography? I was implying the educational benefits you may acquire between you and your partner. Did you only read the last sentence?
Hmm. No sense in facilitating lust (which is distinct from sexual activity and even from normal and healthy sexual desire), right? Self-restraint goes a long way. I'm not saying that all people who watch pornography will end up like "this" (and I wish I didn't have to 'clarify' that), but one might try looking up statements made by Ted Bundy about pornography before he was executed.
The definition of lust is as follows: 1. intense sexual desire or appetite. 2. uncontrolled or illicit sexual desire or appetite; lecherousness. 3. a passionate or overmastering desire or craving (usually fol. by for): a lust for power. 4. ardent enthusiasm; zest; relish: an enviable lust for life. 5. Obs. a. pleasure or delight.
I see nothing wrong with the occasional dose of lust.
I would probably take the suggestions of serial killer on the topic of pornography, a little light. Especially considering he was trying to use his childhood experience's as a cornerstone for his defense. Along with what he was saying, he was not explaining that as an adult porn will make you go kill people. He was trying to justify his later behavior with his findings of violent hardcore pornography at such a young age. That it had twisted is small pubescent mind. Trying for the sympathy of the jurors. But all in all this would be just another reason why pornography is not sold to children under age.
I think looking at pornography is both good and wrong..
Good, because you don't harm others with it, you only have fun watching others naked..
but that's where the bad thing comes, a lot of people are thinking so normal about sex, they say things like, well what does the first time sex matter, you can do it over as many times as you like! They think to easy i think.. you even see people who are 10 asking on forums if it's ok to have sex with someone who likes him/her, while they don't like the other that much... And they respond with, ofcourse just lay her, you can have sex as much as you want!

The actually production of such material I would regard as wrong but the fantasizing of such material I don't, even if it is something as reprehensible as child porn. I would much rather the person deal with those feeling in their own mind looking at pictures rather then finding the real thing and acting on those feelings. The material used wouldn't have to be real, I'm sure there are plenty of completely fictional imagery that could be used.

How does fantasizing to imagery not healthy? As I pointed out above it can even be healthier then the actually acting on those feelings. Saying just show self restraint and don't is a bit like the idea of abstinence only. This simply doesn't work and can lead to even great desire.

I find this claim highly dubious.

hahahahahaha I seem to be keeping the same hours as magegraywolf recently... anyway,i have an opinion on this subject as well. If your not legally an adult, im against you viewing it, besides the idea that your mind is still forming, your going to be hooorrrably dissapointed when your first time comes around LMAO...sorry but i find this very funny.Did ya know they show porn to pandas? certain rare and endangered species of primates and tigers get their own type of porn.By the way, if you keep doing that youll go blind.
I think as long as one is mature enough to know the implications of sex, they should be okay to view pornography and that everyone has the responsibility not to expose those who are not ready to it. I think most sane people would agree with this, but the biggest disagreement perhaps is the age at which one is deemed mature enough to view such material.
In regards to the question of wether pornography as a whole it wrong, I think such a question should be obvious to answer. It is part of our humanity to want sex, if you don't want sex you are not normal. Sex has been our way to reproduce, and judging physical appearances and succumbing to natural desires has long been how we find suitable partners and reproduce. To say that a man should not lust or judge by appearance, is to say that a man should not eat or breath. Ofcourse, as with all things, some mediation is advised.
