Think about this. The number of members on AG is growing. There are about 500,000 people registered. Only a tiny part of them is active on the forums. But with the growing of inactive accounts will the number of the active users grow too. Yes, people are leaving AG too. But the growing of members is much faster. Now it is about 1000-2000 people active on the forums. In a few years maybe 1,000,000 users, 5000 of them active. And what if 100% of the users would be active? Total Chaos!!! What do you think?

Or you would select 2-4 moderators PER forum to make sure everything runs smoothly and some moderators would be designated more then one forum to look after.

It can be a good idea. But some of the sections are inactive a lot. Like the Programming section. So only 1 mod I think can handle it there.

But I still kind of disagree with this. I know it will run smoothly and all, but what if the section is on low activity? The mod(s) wouldn't have anything to delete, or lock. I say to let them roam around everywhere.

I'm not saying that I'm against the idea, it's just that there are 'gaps' that are against it. But if this idea is considered to put on here, it'll run smoothly because there will usually be somebody on patrol.

Although, I go with 'let the mods roam everywhere'. I know it's a big job doing that. But you know...AG can always get some new mods. Some users or members right now can be considered and qualified to be a mod.

But getting new mods at this time wouldn't be so necessary because the spam and troll rate has decreased surprisingly. But I think more mods will be needed for AG 3.0 as mentioned. Because it's bringing AG to the next level. It'll probably get pretty active once 3.0 out, but again AG will be able to maintain from going out of hand. But after about 2-4 weeks it'll calm down a bit to it's usual form.

Well, what i think they are probably going to be more moderators. With the more people they need to watch the forums more closely (My personal opinion by the way. Don't quote me on that.=]) So i think there won't be any chaos in the near future. Have a nice day! =)

Yes. Frank had told me, err us that Dan (the creator) will consider making this site WWW in AG version 3.0. But you know anyway, there wouldn't be 'total' chaos but there will be 'some' chaos on the day of the releasing. Of AG 3.0. But AG will maintain the chaos, and the forums will die down a bit to it's current form.

And about the 'some chaos' the spam rate and troll rate will likely increase. But don't worry about it. We all will be fine.

Mods are just so much better roaming around doing whatever strikes their fancies. I can just imagine something in future AG's forums:

Flash Game forum: (latest post: SUK ME HAHAHAHA)
Mods: Zophia (offline) Cenere (offline)

Strop: ".... come on.... someone wake up and get that....GAH!

It's like those discussions we once had about those "mini-mods" that moderate part of the site, not the entire shibang. It's like taking cold pills that do part of the work. It's just not right. A couple dozen mods running amok the site taking out anything and everything they find is more efficient than "guard" mods that patrol one forum.

I am glad you agree with me. XD 1-2 mods JUST patrolling one section makes things kid of off-balance if you know what I mean.

Or how about this, IF a mod chooses to patrol JUST one section they can do that. Without being force to.

And IF a mod wants to patrol the whole community they can do that.

Well yeah. But them roaming the whole community is much better. They have their choices.

I mean like right now, the mods can roam around. But they have a break now. The spam and trolling has decreased. But being a mod can be a big job.

Your right, with moderate activity it would be the best but some mods spend more time in certain areas of the forum. The programming area being the most overlooked. But with an influx of users even the smaller areas of the forum will be needed to be looked into.
