I know there's the "Hey do you like me" way, but then when people are approached directly they lie, and this makes me angry. How can I get an honest answer form the person that I like? I asked, but then said person said no. And How do I know if said person really doesn't like me or doesn't want to say so in front of said persons friends.

Oh sorry I forgot to say, that other people can share their stories, about people that they liked that they asked if they liked them and what they said.
