Be good don't spam, and don't do this. Btw I am a respected user, or at least nobody disagreed with me when I called myself one, or maybe that was because the were too busy laughing. IDK.

Pretty much don't spam and write posts that reflect the topic or funny.

No offence meant by this but don't ask to be one. The same rule that applies to being a moderator and getting a merit comes into play here as well. Being respected involves respecting everyone else, putting thought into your posts and comments, and having talents that translate over the internet.

True. Don't ask and you might get, like the thing says, ask and you shall receive isn't the policy here.

Don't think you're more respected than you are or you could become one of Ag's first original memes.

It doesn't matter if you are or are not respected my other members. Just go with the flow, don't troll, don't spam, don't make duplicate threads, don't flame, don't plagiarize, don't make excessive caps posts, don't make excessive bold posts, and etc. etc. etc.

But I will explain about being respected. Read the things I mentioned above, on the above paragraph.

So here we go.

Many will respect you if you have a lot of posts. But no, it's how your posts are like. Short, long, average, whatever. You HAVE TO HAVE substance in your posts. You have to make solid posts as well.

Substance is like, your post has to make sense and...your post has to mean something. But just, a long, stupid post. Same for a short one. You CAN make a short one, but it needs to at least be more than 7 words. So have substance in your posts and you'll be respected in no time. Even when you are a low rank. You still have a chance to be famous.

But DON'T worry about you being respected or not, just go to the flow. alright?

You are pretty new. So there is no need to worry about it. The current regulars were like you too.

Personally I look at it the same way I view it in real life. If you give respect you will get it. If you are honest, avoid being intentionally irritating, and follow the rules you will most likely be well regarded. I don't think that rank or number of posts necessarily equate to being respected. We have quite a few members with a high rank and high post counts that are not widely respected simply because the quality of their posts is low, or because we know they spam comments and game ratings to get rank. Just participate in discussions and when doing so follow the format and rules of the thread. You will meet people that way and earn a reputation for someone who participates in the community.

True. And I thought it was less than 7 words. Whatever.

Also don't double post unless needing to describe your previous post.

*Example*

Dude that guy thinks he's so cool.

I know he's such a 904.

If you turn out to be obnoxious which I doubt you will (:

Personally, I agree with what you mentioned. Many don't understand about making quality posts, and post count. But still, you know, post count does not count.

Whoever reads this. Use it as our advice. Post count and quality posts are different. Do not respect a user just because of their post count. Look into their posts and read them carefully. And make your decision!
Also don't double post unless needing to describe your previous post.

Yes, double posting isn't necessary. Double posting will be necessary to fix a typo, or if you read your previous post again, and don't feel right. Think about it and post again to rephrase it. So the other members will actually understand it.

12) Support and Suggestions is a good place to help out.
13) If you want to follow me, feel free to make yourself at home in the Tavern, the equivalent of an Off-Topic section.
14) Do not make yourself look like an AP whore. People despise e-peen braggarts here.

What's &quotlagiarize"?

Grammar is not importand very much. Just don't make too much errors so that nobody understands you and let it be seen when the sentence ends/starts. Don't be afraid of using curse words sinse if you write f*ck you get fuck
