What's &quotlagiarize"?

Plagiarizing is citing someone else's works as your own. e.g. copying a portion of a wiki page without citing the information as coming from said article.

Be nice but don't be affaird to voice your opinion. Be honest and understanding.

1) Respect others.

Respect the people who are regulars that make solid posts, and quality posts.
2) Act mature and responsibly.

Yes, we don't like people who act immaturely.
3) Do not spam, flame or troll on AG.

Those are the basic rules. AG is really strict about them. They DO NOT tolerate it. Don't spam, flame or troll. It will result to a ban, or warning. If you keep spamming, trolling or flaming it will eventually result to a perma ban.
4) Your grammar is important.

It's good to have good grammar. So your post would be more understandable rather than...uh yeah.
5) Present yourself as a person worth respecting.

Make good quality posts.
6) Have fun.

Yes, always have fun.
7) Do not hate on other people.

Hate is quite a strong word. Disliking will be okay. But keep the disliking to yourself. NEVER make a thread about a user you dislike.
8) Do contribute to the forums in a positive manner.

NEVER go off-topic. It is considered as spam.
9) Make a name for yourself.

You already have your username?
10) You can participate in WEPR debating if you're good at that.

The WEPR is pretty rough. You have to be quite mature enough to enter. If you are able to handle rough arguments without swearing the WEPR can be the section for you.
11) Most of the well-respected regulars here share stuff and hang around the Art, Music and Writing forum. You can do that too.

You can show are art skills. Participate in the poetry contests. And make your own story. But share YOUR stuff not others people's work. Plagiarism is not tolerated there.

Mods are usually around there too. So if you spam or troll you'll easily be caught.
12) Support and Suggestions is a good place to help out.

It's nice to help out other users. But remember this, if other user has posted the answer before already. Don't repeat it. Please?
13) If you want to follow me, feel free to make yourself at home in the Tavern, the equivalent of an Off-Topic section.

It can be an off-topic section, but the rules still apply. Don't talk about specific users or inappropriate stuff. You can be mature enough. But still...it isn't allowed obviously.
14) Do not make yourself look like an AP *****. People despise e-peen braggarts here.

...
15) Make quality posts. Try your best.

As mentioned, make quality posts, and you'll be respected! No one likes a spammer. Just pointing that out...Ha.
16) Follow all the forum rules, site rules and regulations.

DO NOT break one rule. AG is quite strict. So be careful of what you do. But if you follow the rules you will be fine.

If you want to be respected (i.e. famous) you need to be known for something.

...

Basically, do not be a hog for AP. No one cares about your "achievements" or your e-peen. If you want to do that, Kongregate is a better place to do that. Not that Kongregate is bad or anything.

Oooohh, Vinster's being "devout".

*Looks at saving's post* HAHAHAHHAHAHA. Sorry just remembering your epic fail troll.

Ok, seriousnesses starting....NOW.

Anyways, never care what people think of you on the internet.

It is good advice trust me.

To be a respected member you have to have a large amount of posts (Don't lie, you all know it is true) or... have a decent 100 + posts and a friendly nature. Sometimes users are respected for making games, art, writing, etc. I don't hang around the AMW so not really something I know about.

Also don't expect everyone to reply to your posts. As a "Newb" people ignore you. Unless you break AG's rules, make a thread or come across a grammar nazi.

Dot.Dot.Dot.

Respect the people who are regulars that make solid posts, and quality posts.

Respect all members of the community. Not just regulars, especially when those are most likely to egotrip.
But keep the disliking to yourself. NEVER make a thread about a user you dislike.

Hate threads of any kind: Stupid. Threads about individual users or groups, whether the kind: Not something that will stay unlocked.
DO NOT break one rule. AG is quite strict. So be careful of what you do. But if you follow the rules you will be fine.

Not that strict. We don't kick people for spamming before they have shown they can't comprehend "Don't do this: bvhfdu".

And as a mod I am possibly one most the most disrespected users of AG, because no one likes to be told "No".

You can spam every now and then (I caught drace spamming, and he is one of the main pillars in the community). Be active in the Forum games, WEPR, and Tavern. Hating spammers is an underhand trick that is not respected very much. Be a decent person and you wouldn't even have to read the Rules and Guidelines (Now I think of it, I don't think that I read it, at least in the past year).

Right...but don't respect spammers or trolls. xD

Yus...
Not that strict. We don't kick people for spamming before they have shown they can't comprehend "Don't do this: bvhfdu".

Well, I kind of meant if you keep on spamming when already warned, AG starts to really get on you. And also don't go all over the place and go, "Hello. What's up?" I know you might want friends. But don't do it that way. It's spamming as well.
And as a mod I am possibly one most the most disrespected users of AG, because no one likes to be told "No".

True. But take out those vicious people who don't listen to you. People who listen to mods is kind of a common thing for a flash game site. But if you take them out. You'll probably be one of the most respected users of AG.

Amazing first line. And, sadly, so true.

2nd quote, true also. Mods are always hated on, and I don't like that

I highly disagree. Most people I know respect the mods a lot. But then again, most of the people I know tend not to get to many lectures from the mods....I respect you Cenny.

Honeslty, don't worry about rules, mods are not mean people. unless your being a total prick, and deserve it, there gonna let you off most of the time. Just be your self. People try and make them selfs perfect o nthe internet, don't do that. Its no fun meeting a fake person.

I never got a lecture. I bet the mods have a few lectures they just copy-paste and add some names where they are needed and then send it to the people who don't behave.
