Here is a thread dedicated to my work as a writer. This thread will mostly be filled with my poems which vary in theme but I try to fashion myself after my favourite poet T.S Eliot, who I believed captured human nature in his words. I aspire to do the same. Please feel free wo citique and review my work. However, simply saying "I like it" is not good enough, as a writer I must grow and develop so I beg you readers to give me a reason as to why or why not you liked the poem. To start off I shall provide you with one of my personal favourties.

These Are The Boring Bits

Call life what you will,
A joke,
A curse,
A gift,
An adventure.
Take from it what you will,
Joy,
Sorrow,
Love,
Hate.
Lose yourself in it
Find your purpose
Or,
Find nothing at all.

A man asked, "What is the meaning of life?"
A woman told him, "Whatever you make it to be."
A child asked, "Is god real?"
A parent told them, "Only you can decide."

Personal opinion is what we use to guide us,
The opinions of others are what lose us.
We can never be certain
That we are certain of anything
Because of change,
And because things stay the same.
What makes sense one day,
Will confuse us another,
And so it goes on.
People tell others to:
Get in line,
Grow up,
Get our lives straight,
Who told these people these things?
And why tell us the things that broke them?

Is it human nature to be unhappy?

Two men sit on a bench,
In a park,
Under a tree.
They talk about family and friends
They talk about work and dreams.
One man says, "It is a waste of time to dream,"
The other says, "Yes, but to have dreams is not."
Dreams are what the world is made of
Bad dreams,
Good dreams,
Lost dreams.

Hope is never far off,
As the old die,
The young are born,
The young grow,
They become old,
The old die.
But while they are young,
They change the world.
Some for the better,
Others for the worse.

Inspiration is a dream.

The only inspiration in life is life:
What to do?
How to do it?
Can we change the world?
How to change the world?
Is there purpose?
Are we real?
Or a figment of imagination?
All questions do not need answers.

Call life what you will,
These are the boring bits.

Lady save my soul,
I repent for my sins.

Lady shelter me,
I seek redemption.

Lady care for me,
Should I fall this day.

Believe in yourself
Do not fall down that
Dark twisting hole
You'll never escape
To see the sun
One last time.

21st Century Freefall

I think I wait here a while
And free fall from the face
Of the ever spinnin' Erath.
Yeah,
'Cause things are breakin' down
And those that said they'd save me
Well they're no longer around.
So I think I'll drift a while longer.
Staring up into the void.See More

It isn't too bad though. And something's better than nothing.

That's okay, Wolf! I still believe in you! I believe! XD

Wake up.
Tell me your sorry.
Just say those words.
Show me
You're humanity.
So I don't lose mine.

I really like this one. It's so short, and yet so meaningful at the same time.

What about: "show me your sanity"? for it is impossible not to be human considering our destructively creative nature.

You've missed the point of the poem then.

Good Man

Will you be the witness
Who watches over his suffering?
Then one who waits behind the shadows
Of ever revolving doors;
While the choir sings on.

Will you bear witness,
To a justice that has no crime.
As he cries out from his
Eternal prison, bound.
Bound in the chains of others.

He will pay the price
For your suffering and sin.
He will forever be withheld
From this free, glorious world.
He shall be your totem.

Your reminder of all you have.
A justification for all
Your pragmatic and insidious lies.
The ones you tell yourself
To ease you fear drenched eyes.

The eyes that look on
Witnessing the abuse and
Injustice of his suffering.
All the while he is whispering,
Pleading. For mercy.

Will you save him,
As you have saved yourself?
Will you take his chains
And wrap them around your heart?
WILL
YOU
FREE
HIM!?

No. You will only witness.
One deed after another.
You will watch and wait.
But you will not act.
For you are, a good man.

The world will fall,
And evil shall triumph
All on the whims of good men.
For triumph shall be had,
While good men do nothing.

Oh, really. I would come up with a response for that, but I'd rather not argue on Wolf's poetry page. And also, I want to read the nice poetry.

Holy Mackerole, Wolf. Your writing is amazing. It flows so well and all the words fit together...
It's really passionate too. Especially here.
Will you save him,
As you have saved yourself?
Will you take his chains
And wrap them around your heart?
WILL
YOU
FREE
HIM!?

I'm sorry, are you falsely accusing me of plagerism? Of course I created the poem! However, YOU missed the point I was trying to make.

Wake up.
Tell me your sorry.
Just say those words.
Show me
You're humanity.
So I don't lose mine.

This poem represents a desire in me to have a wrong righted. For someone I know, someone I care deeply for, to show me a shred of humanity. The word humanity is, in this instance, a plea to be shown mercy! Have you not heard of poettic license?
