The Modern Church of Satan is an independent organization outside of the original Church of Satan formed by Anton LaVey. They claim to be a Satanic organization that is set up and able to survive in the "modern" world. What do you think of them, and if you are a Satanist (whether "LaVeyan", "Spiritual", or anything else) how do you think this could affect other Satanic organizations?

"The most important virtue in Satanism is the enjoyment of life. You are God. This is your world and so everyone and everything in it has been placed here for your own enjoyment."

Seems like the same ol' stuff. But let's be clear: these people don't actually worship Satan, the Devil, Lucifer, whatever.
To me, this philosophy is can be implied from the premises of atheism, plus a few others. There is no God, no Satan, we are all gods and as such have the ability to make ourselves happy or not.
Satanists don't live by a strict moral code. Rather, they do what they feel like - whatever makes them happy. After all, if this is the only chance you have for happiness, why are you wasting your time not being happy?
Of course, it completely ignores the multitude of arguments made in favor of moral imperatives. It seems to me a Satanist could microwave a puppy if it makes them happy - an act that is deplorable to most of the world.
As a lifestyle, Satanism is a joke. They load their personas up with ritualistic nonsense and images while still trying to be a part of the "real world". Behavior like this can't and shouldn't be tolerated.
People are free to believe whatever they want. But when they act on those beliefs, they must be prepared for the consequences. And consequentialism seems to be something that all Satanists reject outright.

I have a little question: I know there is a thing with exact definition and so on, but I have to ask myself: aren't satanists as much christians as other christians? I mean they don't worship god and jesus, they worship satan, but satan is a part of christianity, and so if satanists believe satan exist then they automatically believe god and jesus exist, as much as regular christians also believe that satan exists without worshipping him. Right?

The Satanists we're talking about here, as I said in my post above, do not worship Satan. Certainly, there are groups out there who acknowledge the existence of both God and Satan and have sided with the latter. The logic behind that makes no sense to me.
But like I said above, these Satanists see themselves as gods. Not as some sort of all-powerful being with magical powers. Rather, they themselves are the primary source for their own happiness. While a Christian thanks God for his or her happiness, the modern Satanist deems him or herself as responsible for their individual happiness. For this group, we are all our own god and our own satan. It is only through own individual wills whether or not we feel happiness.

You don't get out much do ya Sparky? Most Satanists don't worship Satan - it's sorta Self-Worship (that's the simplest way I could phrase it so you understand) but with a few different elements thrown in. Anyway - stop thinking your God is the only possible deity out there and open your mind.

nope i want appect any other god than my lord and savior but thanks for the offer and why name your religion after the worst evil their can be. And i know more dumbas are going to get on a say otherwise but thats what i believe and people that dont will go to hell lol

Lol, if there was A hell then I might respect your argument. Prove that YOUR God and YOUR Hell exist and then I might take you seriously kid. Otherwise, go have carnal relations with your Pastor or whatever it is you do.

I realize you want to be a troll. Good for you. But you need to be better at trolling. One way of doing this is to actually read the posts - especially on a thread like this where there aren't many of them.
I've said twice already that Satanist do not worship (or to use your terminology "appect&quot Satan. And the name itself has nothing if anything to do with Lucifer or the devil - the guy who supposedly lives in hell.

me thinks avorne is sad and alone, with no reason to beleive in anyone but himself. maybe he is a satanist?? maybe not. maybe he like to talk about perverse relations with pastors because of a traumatic experience in his past? who knows. i don't he does. lol. i bet he gets his pastor stained panties in a bunch tho. watch watch.
