I used to live in America from about the age of one, until I was four. I've lived in Britain ever since. But for the last couple of years, I've spent pretty much everyday wishing I could go back :/
Was it just my childish innocence that made me enjoy it? Or is it as good as I think it was. I don't really know if anyone can answer this without bias, but I just thought I might as well throw it out there. Thanks

Well, I live in america, and I dont know for sure what happens in britain, but there are alot of idiots in america, and some of them are running the country. I live a good life here and if you look past all of the idiocy, you'd enjoy it too. I think I heard that The "Overboard political correcness" that oppresses our freedom of speech happens in England too, so if your used to that it would be easier, But there is alot of political issues such as "illegal Immigration", "Wusses who wont make any laws to enforce illegal immigration", "Obamacare", "Why are we letting Obama run this country?" and more.
So to tell the truth i'd need to know more about england before i give a better answer, but If you went back to america, you'd be WAY better off libing in suburbs then inner cities. You should probably know what I mean by that.

Most of the gang activity is in California. You could get shot there just because your shirt is the color red or any other opposing gang color depending on where you're at. Car theft has gone down because of better car alarms and in voice activated models they recongize your voice.Yes, our government carelessly indebted themselves to China. But many other countries are in much more debt. Many people have debt because they don't save their money into an emergency fund or bank account. Then they give you some lame excuse like,"Money is tight." Honey, money is ALWAYS going to be tight if you don't save. Most of these debt things have happened because of careless spending and the careless spenders didn't use their common sense or think ahead. My family is steadily paying off their debt because of their use of common sense and their skills of saving money. Britan or the US are both good areas to live; but they both have pros and cons.

Yeah, I wish i lived in Britain. People here a filthy freaking greedy as hell. And where I live, it's not surprising to see gangs hanging around corners, and I'm surprised I haven't been jumped yet.

I'd stay in Britain if I were you. You have free health care, which is the deciding factor for me.

I've lived in every geographical part of the United States and it really depends on the area and the views of the people around you. I find in Colorado different areas of the states are more liberal or conservative then others and are more widespread on their everyday views. Whether you be Pro-Life or Pro-Choice etc.

So my answer is, look for a community that has the same views as you, you'll find you'll be a lot more accepted there =)

If you compare it to most other countries in the world, yes, this is a pretty great country. We have people from all over the world here, which creates some kind of supercommunity that no other country will ever have.

And where I live, it's not surprising to see gangs hanging around corners, and I'm surprised I haven't been jumped yet.

Gangs usually hang around urban areas. You shouldn't find too many of them in suburbs, because the police don't have much to do there, so they'll know if a gang is about to form before it even forms.

Most of America is not a horrible place where gangs roam around every corner.

You should try visiting Rio, Ernie. I'm sure you'll see gangs all over the city, specially in the suburbs and in the "famous" slums!

Besides that, I love living in Rio =)

Nothing I said in my above post necessarily applies to Brasil. My "argument" was purely for the sake of describing America. Rio is a different story altogether.

I love America, but it would be nice to know wheter or not the rest of the world is like us in the sense that they spend money like water and think that it is some other countries fault.

The stupidest person running the country right now is Nancy Pelosi. I like the Democrats, and I still think that she is an absolute idiot.

Yeah, I know. And as far as I remember, America is exactly what you said. I would love to live there in the future.

I just made one observation, comparing our countries, emphasizing Rio. My city needs a lot of improvements, and urgently. The problem is that the president is a non-sense and irresponsible fat guy.

Depends on where you live in America. Big cities aren't recommended, but niether are redneck towns... I prefer the suburbs of cities like Houston. Just enough balance of order, stupidity, and chaos to make it great.

Honestly, I love my country, but I hate who is running it.

I think I should go back to America... some time.

Last time I was there was six years ago.
