Being atheist doesn't mean you necessarily take a strong opposition against the existence of god. It just means you don't believe one exists, usually because of of the lack of evidence.

Why does one need a higher power to have a meaning? We are intelligent creative beings, are we not capable of finding meaning in our own lives? As for the waste of space, dark energy makes up roughly 71.3% of the universe and dark matter makes up roughly 27.4%. What that means is all galaxies down to the stuff making up you and me only take up about 1.3% of the entire universe. We are on a relatively small planet a speck in the corner of just one of about 125 billion galaxies that make up that 1.3%. So 99.99999...etc. etc. etc. is uninhabitable to us, including many areas of the very planet we originate from. Yet the claim is we have some sort of ultimate meaning in the universe and that the universe was made for us? Does this really sound like a universe set up just for us to exist in?

well from what i see ******* dont accept God but thats cool but in the bible it's says that we were never to attain knowledge but adam and eve sin so we do show basically the knowledge we have want really matter when jesus comes back.
What exactly are you starring out there? Interesting if we never attained knowledge we wouldn't exist now. It's our knowledge that has kept us alive and advanced our species to the level it's at today. Which is far more then what I can say for religion.
