I don't even think Packers fans want that to happen to him, thats pretty harsh.
Are you kidding? Last year there were wedge-heads holding up signs that said "Welcome home, Farve!" and "We miss you Farve!" If he wouldn't have been trying to pull publicity stunts, he would've retired with the Packers... ONCE. I take that back, I don't know if he's intentionally pulling publicity stunts. There's a part of me that's suspicious of Farve simply believing that he personally deserves special treatment, and that the Packers betrayed him when they rejected his offer to come-out of retirement for the 2nd time. Bless his heart...
Way to be very much hardcore, weeeooo weooo! Hardcore alert, alert!
Oh, you...
If you love Brett Favre just say so.
So are you trying to persuade us that you were one of the guys who wanted Brees instead of Kurt Warner when he was a free agent?
You know, at the time I really didn't see a problem with it. We still didn't have much to lose, and the only reason Brees wasn't drafted until much, much later is because of his height, and that he didn't have one particular thing that stood out in his stats... but his stats were all around very good. At the time I was surprised by the pick, but I accepted it and hoped for good things.
OH, and you know who's current story is really reminding me of the journey to greatness via the Saints? Max Hall. He's a brilliant player, and just like Drew Brees doesn't think like a typical QB with height advantage, AND didn't even make it into the draft rounds. The Cardinals recruited him as a back-up QB, then once seeing what he could do during training, has already booted Matt Leinart (
doosh cough, ahem) and they're giving him a test drive as a possible starter for 2011. AND the Cardinals haven't won a superbowl yet. Very similar, I think.
PS- SAINTS WON! And they only sacked Favre once. See how Saintly the Saints are? They respect their elders.
