This is a sci-fi RPG. I'm planning on making it a hard one, where teamwork and not doing stupid stuff is important.

Backstory: You're a citizen of the planet Liloth. The main goverment's the United Galactic Proleteriats (UGP)--which contrary to its name, is in fact a dicatorship. In response to this, as well as high taxes, massacres, genocide, etc, of the outer planets, the Seraphim Confederation (SC) was formed--another government, but not yet ready to officialy declare sovereignty. At this time, someone assassinated the UGP magistrate of Liloth, prompting a retaliatory attack by the UGP. The SC was formed shortly thereafter, and a distress signal was sent...you stayed behind to evacuate the population.

Make the bio as detailed as possible please, so I can give you the respective stat advantages. Skills are not accessible yet.

I'll be taking a lot of players, and starting once 4-5 are here. Everyone else will be introduced shortly afterward, after the first segment's done.

A note about skills: they aren't skills you *use* (though they might come in later); they're sorta like tech/knowledge levels. If your bio says you were an electrician, then you'll get a boost to anything that involves electricity, such as ion tech. Be too vague, and you don't get a bonus.

If you want to know the skill tree, ask me...it's sci-fi, so sci-fi tech is in there

There are no classes; you specialize as you level up and put points into skills. Please, don't everyone spec into the same thing, or you'll end up losing.

And yes, blacksmiths are still needed in sci-fi, mostly to repair things, since you can't trust these industrially robot-smithed parts (low quality, won't hold long.. tss..)

Whoopsies, skills/inventory/equips are blank until you actually get something.

One more guy and we can start.

@SirNoobAlot: There are no mechanical locks anymore (not as a primary lock, maybe as backup...), as it's the future

So I'll also give the skill of hacking computers (and electronic locks and the like) once you get to the point you can use them.

Uhm...
Okay, I guess that means I've gotta include another skill into the tree.

You will need one guy to spec into medic though, unless you're gonna rely totally on your armor/shields and a techy guy to rep/recharge them all XD
...
Which won't work, as I can just script in an event that kills that :O

hmmm if you need a medic don't make the new skill if you don't want i can do it life on the streets gave me some unique medical techniques >.> <.< RPG wise though :P

However, after her father died, her two brothers went to war over his inheritance. In the course of the war, both her brothers died. During the course of the war, she served as a kind of median between the two brothers, and so became good with the sword in the process. But when she stood up for one of the dead brothers' rights to burial, she was banished.

Skills: I was thinking Leadership and Firearm Skill or something like that....

Inventory is your personal belongings, such as spare batteries/capacitors, ammo, grenades, etc.

Equipment is what you have equipped, such as your shields, reactor core, weapon, armor, etc.

I also keep an inventory of all other stuff, such as loot you get from fallen enemies/shops/whatever else.

If you want a bonus to weapons: choose which type you want:
Plasma, ion, arc, electric, laser, ballistics, missiles, explosives. May be more actually, you can request one if I forgot. A large amount of these intertwine with each other, so you might need to spec in more than one skill to get the wanted effect.

Ok, we have enough to start now.

After staying behind to maintain an orderly evacuation of the population, you have to hold out until the SC arrives and picks up the rest of the guys still left on the planet. Currently, you're in a makeshift concrete bunker with narrow slits to aim/see out of, and are armed with primitive AK-47s ^^
The UGP have arrived...you see another poor holdout, but stuck in the open. He throws a rock at them, but it bounces off before hitting them--they're shielded. Then he gets killed by a laser

Gotta make a minor change here--multiply your HP/MP by 10, as I'll need larger numbers for all the minor changes that happens between equipment and skills. I can also use normal numbers, but with decimals.

First wave:
5x Android grunts: Shielded, armed with lasers
1x Squad commander: Shielded, out of weapon range

Because you haven't encountered these guys before, you don't know their stats...gotta do manual analysis first, and I'll reveal the stats. If you encounter them again, you'll know their stats, but if they've changed, you'll only see their previous stats.

Oh, your weapon's stats:
30 damage/5 shots per burst/60% accuracy. These can be improved by your skills.

Whoopsies, needa clarify something.

You can command your allies if they don't appear to be on at the moment, but I'm not doing actions till at least 2 people post I suppose, as you do need teamwork :P

Oh yeah, the bunker has 6500 HP.

What's plasma, ion, and arc weapons?
I'll try to see what the Androids' weakness is. Obviously, they are impervious to useless melee improvisational weapons such as rocks, but where are they weak?
