ok so im christian methodist and latley ive been thinking alot about converting to the muslim faith
no because i doubt the bible or anything but jsut because it seems to me that Muslims are alot more passionate to there faith then the christians are. like you walk around and you talk to sombody who sais there christian but they dont know a thing that happened in the bible and it bugs me.
am i wrong for thinking like this? what should i do?
conversion is a very personal choice. suggestions and advice can help, but you alone have the key to your faith. im sure whatever you decide will make you happy, as long as YOU beleive it is the right decision. it does not matter what anyone else says about your beleifs.
on a side note, what is the definition of a troller. is there a difference between a troller and someone making very polite, lighthearted conversation?
I'd say do your research deloss. If you find the teachings of the Qu'ran to speak to you more than that of your current religion then by all means join up. However, joining for the sake of other peoples passion is a bit silly. If you are looking for more passionate fellowship, find a different church.
I bet there are a lot of muslims in the world who are just as clueless about the Qu'ran as many christians are about the bible.
Personally I think it is all a bunch of malarkey but that's not the point.
If you haven't noticed, that wasn't him but an image?
I don't know the full, in-depth mannerisms and practices of Islam, but I do know that those of the Muslim faith pray multiple times a day to the East. Most Christians are so laid back and easy about their faith that "As long as you believe in God and you understand the sacrifice He made, you're in".
But hey, that's good you're being open-minded about this! Maybe you'll be faithful to the teachings of Islam and come tell us about it. It'd be pretty neat and exotic to have an active Muslim on the site
deloss, I think it should just be about a personal relationship. Not so much about what everyone else is doing. Not to mention, you do HAVE to follow anything for your belief systems to be valid to you. But, that's just my opinion.
You should not convert to islam because you think there more faithful or something stupid.Islam is a violent way of life not just a religion. In Iran and other muslim countries they are constantly murdering christian converts and christian leaders. You may have doubts about christianity because people who call themselves christians don't follow the Bible but that doesn't mean you shouldnt be a christian it just means you need to show others what a christian is.

Generalizations. You're thinking of extremist Muslims. Extremist and Evangelistic Christians have done far worse than what the Muslims have done.
Islam is hard work; you are in constant judgment and faithfulness. It shows just how much you'd be willing to go for your god. Hinduism is the same way. Whether or not this is a traditional ritual, people shave every hair on their body for their religion. One man even went so far as to pluck each individual hair on his face. Christians show their support by singing songs, having fun, praying once, maybe twice a day, and demonizing material, actions, and ethnicities**.

I sometimes wonder how many non extremists are out there. If there are many they sure need to speak up more. It seems to me that if it is just the extremists then the extremists are running the show.
If he is having issues believing in God he just might some day, but I don't see that as being the case as of yet so there is no point in such a suggestion.
Even if he was there still isn't really any point to such a suggestion as atheism is a default position and would be what he would eventually arrive at.
yes... they are the same god in the end, its all about which "messiah" you decide to follow.
I personally think you should forget about "christianity" or "islam" and if you REEEEEEALY wanna follow your god, then just do it. When someone says "are you christian" etc... you can say "no, I just believe in god" because really dude... it IS the same god.
