I've read it and you're not missing much. Really just lots of contradiction and glorifying of said contradiction.

This is why I can't take you seriously, I can't tell if your joking as I've never seen a better post come out of you.

Not necessarily, for intense I don't live in a war zone, nor have I ever been in one. I have knowledge of such a thing yet I have no desire to experience it for myself.

Fair, however, what about moral grey areas? Then again God's word is an absolute truth so I guess that argument wouldn't work either.

I lived as a Christian for 16 years, I feel like that's a decent amount of exposure.

I am currently debating whether to look into Islam.

To study or convert?

Other than gaining respect in any Christian debate there's a few good parables and the gospels are decent moral codes.

Then take the people who believe it seriously, they're still people and they deserve respect even when they wont respect you. Also if you've never read the bible I'm not sure you can say that the Christian god it illogical.

Now Samy I'm offended... Me? Convert? Religion is simply something to study for the basis of human nature.

Okay...I concede, good point. I have to admit some of my morals are based on my Catholic influence.

Sorry, sorry. It just reminded me of a Catholic kid I met the other day who explained to me that he considered himself Muslim because it means one who submits to god. Once again I'm amazed at how similar the religions are, also I've no idea where I was going with this.

I have to admit some of my morals are based on my Catholic influence.

Mine are as well, or by a protestant influence but Christian nevertheless.

*facepalm* This is my point, your entire conception of the religion is based on overused, false, stereotypes.

made humans from dirt and ladies from dirt and a rib

It's symbolism for the fact that man came from dirt and to dirt he will return. We will all die can you deny this? Woman means roughly from man the rib shows the connection between the two genders.

symbolism won't prove or disprove the existence of god...

And to dust he shall return.

It's a metaphor for burying the dead. And how the dead decompose into soil. Thus they are made from dirt. Also, lots of the elements found in us are found in soil. Like carbon.
