"As science peels back the shroud of understanding it becomes clear that, should we ever find one, God is far less grand than He might claim". I like that quote and I agree with it.

Atheism isn't a religion - nor is the reason for not believing in God(s) 'no fuss, no hassle' - in most cases it is scientific understanding and the realization that we understand most things enough to say that it probably happened without the intervention of some supposedly 'divine' being.
We didn't know why the planets moved in the way they did, we didn't know how lightning was produced, we are still learning but we have a far better understanding of how our own brains work, and this is just a small sampling.
I think I misunderstood what he was saying. I thought he was saying that with scientific advancement, we still answer with "I don't know."

Right on! I think we could add, God is plausible, but not necessary. According to Hawking, as of his latest book. (Though, he is not the first to say this)

The only god that might be plausible would be the deistic god, however a god like that is as good as no god at all.
Atheists don't care about god, they just want to be mean to the loving, helpful, well meaning, good hearted Christians and try to take their happiness away from them, that's all they want to do. Well let me tell those Atheists something, they will all go to hell where they belong!
Hurrhurr...... funny. I'm assuming this is a joke because someone who actually meant this has no understanding of other peoples view points and worst of all doesn't respect them.
wheres the love, besides, i know atheist's who will admit that there has to be the tiny chance that there is a god, or diety somewhere, they just find it highly unlikely that there is, in which they are correct. why can't we all just, get along.
