Considering the stadium hasn't even been fully built yet and is falling to bits I'm gonna say yes. Still, what can you expect from India?

CWG in India is an absolute failure. The games have not even started yet halfway finished projects and some complete projects are crumbling to the ground. To me, that screams high risk. The stadium isn't even built. Complication after complication. Also, india is quite the dirty country. Hopefully they will at least clean it up for the CWG. Ton answer your question, India is a disaster in the making when talking about CWG..

More like the CommonNoWealth Games.

I saw some images of the sink and toilets, had faeces splattered all over. And lets not forget about the number of countries who have pulled out and the bridge.

In con, its a fail.

There is a high standard of private hygiene, however public places aren't held to the same standard. It would be incorrect to say that the entire country is dirty. The problem with the games is simply bad management, not even the Indian people want the games.

I think it's hilarious that it's come to this. All these countries were part of the British Empire, right? And this is a fun little indication of how much a shit hole Britain left things after its imperial age.
I feel like Britain should have some role in all this, and some moral culpability. The fought, colonized, and enslaved these people who are still struggling to recover.

But it looks like things are going to get back in shape by the time the games start. They have the athlete's village together (at least, according to AP reports) and the athletes coming in seem, for the most part, pleased with the accommodations.

Really? I'll have to check on that, I hadn't seen anything yet. I suspect a lot of it was exaggerated, or only the worst things were pointed out to make things seem worse.

Britain has a lot of people still angry with it after the imperial age, especially considering they left such a huge mess in their wake.

India are an independent country now, why do Britain hold responsibility o.O We're too busy getting ready for 2012.

I agree, if Britain holds *to the naked eye* no ties to India, why do we hold them responsible?

Right, and If we still are responsible for all the countries that used to be part of the British Empire, well, then why don't we just go back to owning it all if we need to help run it aswell? If my history is correct, didn't most of the ex-British empire countries demand independence in the first place? especially India.

We don't hold Britain responsible per se, it's more that they should have left stable, functional economies and a healthy standard of living amongst the population before they simply walk out and leave chaos in their wake. At least that's my view of it...

Anywho we're getting off topic here.

Yeah I see where you're coming from, but they demanded independence, we simply gave it to them.
And just Wiki'd it quickly:

The "wind of change" ultimately meant that the British Empire's days were numbered, and on the whole, Britain adopted a policy of peaceful disengagement from its colonies once stable, non-Communist governments were available to transfer power to

So really we did the best we could whilst also giving them their freedom...
